Durans was close to the hotel, we did have lunch there one of the day we were there, we were able to walk from the hotel, it is about 2 blocks away, and once you eat there you need a walk

“Certaninly in the top 5 new mexican restraunts in Albuquerque”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

If you crave New Mexican food a trip to Durans Station is a must to visit. They have been around for over 30 years at their north valley location and now the son has opened one in the heights on Menaul Blvd. in a former firehouse building. The expanded menu has alot of choices but I like the stuffed soapapillas with their outstanding green chili and their combo burrito. Everything is great and you will probably come back many times!

“Overrated!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

We went here while in Albuquerque because it was one of the higher rated Mexican restaurants on Tripadvisor. I had the chicken enchiladas with green chile. They were pretty good, but not spectacular. They give good portions though, I will say that. The service was mediocre and the waiter seemed apathetic. We had to ask several times to have our drinks filled. The manager went around and talked to the other 3 or 4 tables in the restaurant but ignored us. It seemed like pretty bad customer service to me. After seeing the great reviews I was pretty disappointed.

“Awesome Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

Visited this restaurant on a business trip. Awesome food. My only complaint is that the chips were dry and bland. I ordered the taco platter - it was incredible. Will definitely come back of future trips. Highly recommend!

“Very fresh, classic New Mexico cuisine, informal dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

This is very informal - sort of like a fast food ambience almost, but with waiters and much, much better food. Everything tasted freshly prepared and was delicious. Our party of 8 was universally thrilled. The food can be really spicey though, so if you don't like spice be careful what you order. I have to add, the saled caramel gelato was incredible. Our servers were very friendly and great with small kids. We had a fantastic experience and it was easy to get to in Uptown.
