This is a charming B&B with a great location just outside of old town, wonderful food, and terrific innkeepers! I highly recommend!

This B&B is very comfortable and Steve & Kathy are very friendly. Unfortunately we just stayed one night and had to leave early morning,so we didn't have a chance to have a breakfast, but they gave us a " breakfast to go" bag. Also we enjoyed complimentaly drinks and cookies. Our room was "Molly Jane" which had lovely claw-foot tub. This room is great for girlfriends' reunion!

We stayed at the Bottger again for the second year running on 21st & 22nd June. Last year we booked the Stephanie Lynn (Bridal Suite) which was wonderful and this year we booked the Rebecca Leah room on the ground floor equally unique. Each room is individually decorated and our room this year had a fabulous Jacuzzi bathroom and the convenience of an additional sink in the bedroom. As other reviewers have mentioned the whole place is spotlessly clean and there are robes/slippers provided and quality toiletries etc. There are personal touches everywhere you look, which reflects the hosts’ commitment to provide a memorable experience for their guests.
On arrival we were welcomed like old friends by Steve and Kathy. They gave us spot on restaurant recommendations and we really enjoyed both Seasons and Antiquity for dinner. In the evening we sat and watched the dancing in the square and shopped in the Old Town just a block away from the front door. For breakfast we had fresh fruit followed by Steve’s gourmet style home cooked quiche. Both Kathy and Steve came and sat with us after breakfast and we watched the hummingbirds in the sunshine and ‘put the world to rights’.
This really is a special place to stay with bags of history and charm and great hosts who are reinvesting in their business by updating decor. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Old Town Albuquerque other than an anonymous/clinical hotel chain, then this quaint Bed & Breakfast is the only place to go and you won’t be disappointed.

The Bottger is the place to stay when in Albuquerque. The host are friendly and helpful. The breakfast they serve is fantastic. Anything in the Old Town is within a 5 minute walk. We had a great time there and we would definitely stay there again.

We don't stay at B&B's very often, mainly because I generally travel for business. This trip, though, my wife was with me and I knew she'd be without a car while I spent an entire day on the road. The Bottger Mansion was highly rated by Tripadvisor, so I thought we'd give it a try.

Briefly put, the B&B has a fantastic location for a walking tour/ shopping expedition through Old Town Albuquerque. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her "free" day, taking advantage of Steve's spot-on restaurant suggestions and shopping her heart out. The Bottger is 1 (short) block from the Old Town square (with all the attendent southwestern craft/jewelry/art/clothing shops), and no more than three blocks from several great restaurants.

Our room was excellent, with an outstanding King Bed/linens and a freshly renovated bathroom. Everything was scrupulously clean and the air conditioner and ceiling fan worked perfectly, without any sort of untoward noise. We slept very well, indeed.

Kathy and Steve are kind and attentive hosts and the gourmet breakfast was great. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful location in Old Town, easy walking distance to restaurants and several museums. Delicious breakfasts and afternoon cookies. Very comfortable rooms and lovely courtyard. Steve and Kathy go out of their way to help guests make the most of their visit--offering a wealth of knowledge about Albuquerque and New Mexico, in general.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bottger Mansion. Steve & Kathy Hyatt are wonderful, attentive hosts. The house reminded me of my grandmother's home. The home cooked breakfast was delicious. We took the "Wine Cellar" suite, as we could sleep our entire family there. Natural light is pretty limited down there, though, and as is typical in old houses, the floor creaked when folks were walking around upstairs. There is also a modern kitchenette in the suite. Having a fridge was convenient, but it left the space feeling a little less charming than the bedrooms upstairs. I would definitely stay with the Hyatts again.
