“Rush to this wonderful local bakery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2009

This has to be one of the best finds we have had in many years of traveling. It is local with no pretense of being fancy, but the food and atmosphere are out of this world. When you enter, they give you a cookie while you are deciding on which of the many breads and pastry to get--they have terrific empanadas, green chile cheese bread and the most delicious green chile pizza we ever tasted. On top of that the owner, Pratt Morales, comes out and loves to talk to customers. Do not miss this place--it is a pure delight!!

“Great place for lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2009

We had lunch here and it was one of the best meals we had on our recent vacation. The pizza and sandwiches are excellent and they have a nice selection of very tasty pastries. We highly recommend the golden Crown bakery.

“A Nice Treat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2009

Golden Crown Panaderia has great pastries, pizzas, and salads. Their food and ingredients is always such a high quality and is always prepared in such a great way. I love coming here. The atmosphere is basically non existent, I always eat outside on the patio which is pleasant. Their baked goods are not your traditional New Mexican pastries but are good nonetheless.

“Omg! Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2008

Prickly pear cactus line the outside of this old adobe building that could easity be passed by on Mountain Road, east of Old Town. In the truest test of "don't judge things superficially," I ventured inside (having never seen or heard of it before on any "food" channel), and walked out with a huge loaf of green-chile bread, a black rye, and a dozen biscochitos.

In all three catagories, the best I've ever eaten in my sixty years, twenty-five of them in Albuquerque!

Outside on the mini-veranda, a young couple were enjoying their pizza, so I know I'll have to return to sample that also.

What more can I say? YUM! Again!
