“Great room - too many dogs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

Room upgrade for jetted tub was worth it. King bed & pillows best I've slept on. Impressed with room set-up - one section with TV, couch, fridge, micro, sink, separate A/C control - awesome. Bed area with 2nd TV and A/C control. Bathroom large. Jetted tub and shower head OUTSTANDING. Problem: we had no dogs....seemed like every other room in our hall had lots of dogs. Staff was good when we complained of barking, but the dogs sounds up and down the hall was unsettling. Will make a special request to be in "NO DOG" area in all future hotels stays. We will stay here again.

Room Tip: Request no dogs in nearby rooms

I have travelled cross country twice with my dog and have stayed at many hotels billed as "pet friendly", but they are really more like "pet tolerant". This hotel is very pet friendly. They greet your dog as warmly as any human, have treats for them when they check in, and even have an enclosed courtyard for letting your dog run around. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay.

One of the recent Trip Advisor reviewers called this the best La Quinta she ever stayed at. I don't know if I have enough La Quinta experience to weigh in on that claim, but I can say that it was a very nice hotel and the best of 4 La Quintas on our recent cross-country road trip. Our king sofabed room was spacious and clean, and the hotel grounds were pleasant, with some outdoor seating outside the breakfast area.

Breakfast: In addition to the standard La Quinta fare, breakfast had some nice extras: scrambled eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, and strawberry topping for your waffles.
Blow dryer: yes
Internet: In-room wifi available free of charge.
Elevator: yes

My 4 children and I were traveling from TX to California, and this was a great stop over for us on 5/30. The front desk staff was so nice. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We had 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa. My kids were thrilled to be able to swim in the indoor pool. The evening manager got the kids extra, larger towels when coming out of the pool. The breakfast was very good and got us going the next morning. I was very happy with our stay and would 100% stay here again.

I was traveling with a friend and a dog while. The staff was very, very friendly and welcoming, explained all of the hotel features well. There is a fenced courtyard for dogs that was clean and secure. What a wonderful amenity! The room was as good as any upscale hotel I have experienced. The room was quite with a great bed. This is a terrific location and value, just a wonderful facility and, if you are traveling with a dog, it doesn't get much better. My dog didn't care for the elevator ride, but that is his issue. Still, I would try to get a room on a lower level if I stayed there again. But I wouldn't hesitate to stay there. Highly recommended!

We have stayed at a number of La Quinta properties, and the "Inn & Suites" type are clearly superior. This hotel is no exception. The room was large and lovely, and the staff friendly and helpful. We did not use the fitness room, pool or whirlpool, but these appeared to be very nice as well. We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Albuquerque.
