My 4th visit to High Noon Saloon, and each time has been worth my trip, worth my time, and worth the price. This was a busy Friday lunch time (Balloon Fiesta Week), but with the free parking behind the restaurant, there was no problem with traffic or parking meters. From the courteous hostess, to the server, to the bus boy there was an immediate knowledge they all were trained and wanted to do their best for the customer. There are 5 dining rooms, and 4 were almost filled. All of them have a warm ambiance, allowing for a subdued noise level and a pleasant dining experience. Our server (Brandon) appeared just a minute or so after we were seated. He asked if we wanted water and any other drinks and presented the menus. FYI..the actual menu has more selections than the online menu. There are menu selections to please almost all pallets. Chicken, beef, seafood, veggie, and gluten free choices. In fact a diner near us questioned one of the food items and their server actually brought out a tasting portion for her to sample. Our food arrived hot and quicker than expected because of the filled restaurant. I had the aged ground sirloin Chili Burger. ( 11.00) It was prepared exactly as I requested and just the right touch of Chili heat. The fries were hot and lightly salted. My friend chose the Rock Shrimp Pappardelle (restaurant specialty- 14.00). There was a good portion of the fresh shrimp and the pasta was al dente, not mushy. The food portions are sufficient to share or have a doggie bag. There is a full bar and a wine list that is better than most restaurant. Wine by the glass is $6-$8. They usually have a “special” mix drink of the day is well worth it.
Will I return? YES, many times and every time I am visiting Albuquerque. It is right in the middle of Old Town, so shopping and strolling is right outside their door. If Brandon (server) is working..do yourself a favor and ask for one of his tables.
