We started going regularly to the theater season a few years ago and since have become patrons of Popejoy Hall, with all of the flashy pluses that come with it. But that's the least important aspect of attending an event at Popejoy. Most important to my wife and I are the convenience with parking and shuttle service from the lot to the hall. Next are the pleasant assistants and theater personnel who work to make the experience pleasurable. The performances have always been top notch. I grew up in New Jersey and attended many, many memorable and historic Broadway theater events in the '60's. Popejoy brings touring companies to Albuquerque. These are essentially as good as the real thing, so if you're wondering about the quality of the performers and the stage productions, this is the real deal. We look forward to every season. I really don't think there is a bad seat in the house, but it took as a short while to realize that the people closer to the stage had gotten their tickets a year in advance by being patrons, so if you don't opt for that status, you still have opportunity for good seats. I've gotten to know some of the development people at Popejoy, those who bring the productions to NM and who make it all happen. They care about what they do and go overboard to take care of those who come back year after year. We will be Popejoy Hall theatergoers for years to come.
