we stayed in ther hotel down the street, and decided to just call in our order and go pick it up. The manager said ok 10 minutes. No place to park when you get there, the curbside locations had one guy parked in 2 spaces, the truck was empty. The other someone waiting in their car.
She must have thought like I would have from other Apllebee's that they come out to you. After 15 minutes she went in and got her food. This allowed me to park . I went in gave my name, told him he should have the truck moved so people could park, his reply is Ok, I know whos it is. If he knew and its marked 10 minute parking maybe he should have done something about it. It took 5 more minutes for my food. Now I'm at 20 minutes + the 5 it took to drive there.
the order came to $21.60. I had money for a tip if it had been curb side. He then asks do you need change. He needs a tip for making a curbside customer come in and get their food 15 minutes late? Now, I'm 5 minutes away, All the food was cold, the chicken I had was smothered with rice and a bad salsa. The fries my wife got, cold and not cooked.
I guess if you like Applebee's go inside, don't ever attempt the curb side at this location. They need to look up the deffinition of thew word.
For the manager, sorry tips are for your employees who do the work, not you standing behind the counter. And you ask for a tip from someone you know has had bad service?
And as for a marketing tip. If you are going to go thru the trouble of putting your menus in the local hotels, Buy some stickers and put your phone number on them
