We ate here the first time with friends who knew Thai food and the quality and value of the food in this place is amazing. Colorful atmosphere located on Central Ave. This is a do not miss spot.

YUM
Alright-good food, and the service staff is young--6-8 year olds (daughters of the other waitresses)
quality Thai, huge menu, often busy
Ignore the complaints, this is a wonderful place to eat! In fact, I plan on eating there again tonight. My husband and I are new to Albuquerque and Orchid Thai was highly recommended to us by several locals. The food is delicious, served hot, and the way it is presented is impressive. An orchid on every entree, soup in a formal silver serving dish, some dishes are even served in half of a pinneapple, among other creative and visually pleasing arrangements. I must admit that it does take a while to get your food. Plan on spending at least an hour and a half to two hours here for a meal. Expect a wait from the time you order and the time your food arrives and spend the time getting an appetizer or two, maybe a few drinks. My husband loved their Thai Iced Tea, the wine is reasonable priced, order tea and have it served to you in a lovely little tea pot with a small teacup. Their fried tofu and curry dishes have won local awards. VEGETARIANS will be very happy with the selection (I know, I'm one of them!) , there is an entire vegetarian section and it is full of delicious options. Orchid Thai is located in Highland, on the edge of Nob Hill. Park your car in the morning, spend the day shoppping and then have a wonderful dinner at Orchid Thai, you won't regret it!
