“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Popped in early for dinner on a weeknight. Restaurant filled up fast so reservations might be a good idea. We sampled the Thai Beef appetizer, the Roasted Root Vegetable Chop Chop salad, and the Pumpkin Butternut Squash Ravioli entree. Everything was delicious and the service was great.

“Consistently great ambience, food, and service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

The Artichoke Cafe is one of the independently owned restaurants in Albuquerque which is consistently excellent.
The atmosphere is relaxed (especially if not in the main dining room, where it can feel as though one is 'on display') and comfortable. The service is impeccable. The food is excellent. Great wine list and drinks. Gourmet, interesting food and appetizers. Altogether a dependable restaurant.

“Give this one a Miss!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Average to poor food. Terrible service.

The service was throughout the evening was almost absent and timing was all out. The waiter seemed as though they were not at all trained properly. I asked for taste of wine prior to buying as I always do and when it came to desert wines and asking for a taste I was refused, rudely! No class and real understanding of dining and matching wine. On that note the wine list was utterly unimpressive.

The salad starter was ok. My main was mostly inedible and bread that was delivered to the table was stale.

It was completely overpriced for what you get.

Find another place to eat when in Albuquerque.

“Business lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

Funky little place downtown, totally unexpected. The food was bistro...sandwiches, interesting entrees and good service. I ordered the Chicken BLT, which had avocado and a zippy sriracha mayo. Fellow companions had the lamb and steak, both were enjoyed. I would return the next time I'm in town.
