My family & I have lived in the Albuquerque area for over a quarter century now, & my wife & I take my mother out for dinner to Paul's Monterey Inn annually for her birthday. We don't even look at the menu selections anymore because we always end up ordering the Australian lobster tail. The cost is about $60 per tail, & at first, you think to yourself; “Hey, that is a bit pricy”, that is until you see the little monster! I scuba dive, & I’ve never seen a lobster that big in my entire life. It resembles something for the Jurassic age. I think I have only but once completed the entire tail in one sitting.
The lobster is prepared to absolute perfection, & the meat simply falls apart in your mouth. I also hear they have the best Prime Rib in town, but we can never seem to order anything but the Lobster. It's become a tradition in our family.
The accommodation are something resembling the late 60's era, & haven’t change since we moved here in ‘79, but I'm not there to eat the furnishings. The service is excellent, prompt & very friendly, & they make a great martini as well.
My family & I highly recommend Paul's Monterey Inn for a dinner you won't soon forget !
