Pacific Paradise is my favorite restaurant in Albuquerque (I live here), and one of the best kept secrets. It has really delicious pan-Asian food and sushi, great for vegetarians and meat eaters. They have an Albuquerque roll that has a tempura-fried green chile in the middle. The place also has great service, very helpful and attentive. One of my favorite parts is the ambiance inside. The place is in a strip mall, so you just expect tables and chairs without much decoration inside, but that's not the case. Each booth has a lifesize beach photograph, with a wooden trellis, so it looks like you're actually sitting at a restaurant with a beach view. Its really beautiful and relaxing, like a little hideaway where you can forget what's outside. I have any ties to or know anyone who works at Pacific Paradise, but I tell everyone I know about it.
Their prices are really good and most include soup or salad, but the prices are amazing for their lunch specials. They only have beer and wine (including sake), no liquor. The place is small, so try to get reservations on weekend nights.
