These are some of the nicest service people I have ever met. I booked two rooms for out of state guests for the Balloon Fiesta, one suite and one with two queen size beds. The rooms were immaculate. My guests were thrilled because #1, it was a safe area for their kids and everything was within walking distance (restaurants, movies, etc).

Room Tip: Go for the suites, slightly more but worth it, especially if you have more than one person staying.

Easy to find but location was not the greatest with too many non-hotel people in the parking area due to nearby businesses. If you have a rental car, no big deal, but we are never comfortable with this situation in our own car. We made sure to re-park under a light by the main lobby when a space opened up. Only one clerk was on duty during our 9/4 stay and check-in was quite slow. The reception or kick-back area was run by less then pleasing employees. The snacks and drinks were typical Drury fare. On to the most important thing, the room. No disappointments here. Excellent room and a nice large TV with many selections. Our 6th floor room was very quiet.. The bed was comfortable and sleeping was easy here. The only thing we found unusual was the funky shower dispensers. Prior guests, disgruntled or prankster employees could put anything in there. No thanks! We weren't about to use them. Drury might be wise to reconsider this 'feature'. Despite the nit-picky items we discussed we would come back for basic travelling one night stays. Can't beat a good night's sleep. Drury provides it.

Room Tip: Upper floor for quiet sleeping.

DruryHotels, Manager at Drury Inn & Suites Albuquerque, responded to this review, October 3, 2011
Thank you for staying with us at the Drury Inn & Suites in Albuquerque, NM recently. We were disappointed to hear that our new shower dispensers for soap, shampoo, and conditioner were not to your liking. Safety's are built into these, as they are locked in place, as well as locked shut so no other chemicals of any sort may be mixed or added to these units without the appropriate key, which our team members carry with them when needed to refill these items. Our beautiful hotel is situated between Mimi's Restaurant, and Boston's Pizza, making for great food choices for our guests. Occasionally, a car may overflow into our lot from one of the restaurants during lunch or dinner, and we are very sorry this affected your perception of our hotel. We are glad to hear that you would return, and look forward to having you stay with us again in the future. Thank you again for your business, and your feedback.

Stayed at this hotel twice. Once on our way to Santa Fe and also coming back. Loved the new, clean look of the entire place. Kickback was just OK but, hey, it was free and was just fine since we had had a large, late lunch. Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the ABQ area. If you arrive too late for Kickback there is a good restaurant within walking distance and many others just a short drive.

We were on our way across country, just passing through on our trip....we were tired, hot and hungry when we arrived. We were thrilled with the 5:30 Kickback menu....the chicken fingers, soup, salad, mac & cheese and more was wonderful and we were so happy that we didnt have to get in the car again to find a place to eat dinner.
Afterwards we went swimming and the pool was great....very big, nice and clean. The rooms were spotless, beds and pillows were very comfortable. Wifi was fast and easy to connect.
Will definitely stay here if we're ever in Albq again.

Great hotel. Had a very comfortable one bedroom suite. Evening free dinner and cocktails (up to three per person!) and morning breakfast were an outstanding feature. I would highly recommend this hotel

When we arrived we were greeted at the door with a smiling "Hello and Welcome." The evening kick back was great. Hot dogs, salad, soup, baked potatoes, chicken fingers and different mixed drinks were offered at no charge. Our room was great; 2 gueen beds, and lots of room to spare! Our little dog was welcomed with open arms and doggie treats. Will stay again!
