“Great place to spend the night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

We stayed here one night after a very long drive. I made reservations a couple of days in advance on Priceline and got a great rate on 2 rooms. I sent them an email to confirm the bed requests and non-smoking rooms close to one another. Our rooms were as requested, and larger than I had expected; each room had a living room, small kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom. We slept very comfortably and enjoyed a nice, hot breakfast. We observed that the hotel is about 40 years old and had a wonderful vintage feel, coffee was a little weak, the water temperature of our showers fluctuated a little bit (but nothing horrible) and the TV remote control didn't work, but none of that was a deal breaker for us. We really liked the location and the price and will stay there again.

Dear the 5Ps -

Thank you for your great review about our hotel. I am glad you enjoyed our large rooms. They are about 500 -600 square feet. We apologize for the TV remote but we would have been glad to send maintenance up to fix that for you. We hope to see you again soon,

The hotel is old, but pretty well maintained. The suites were spacious enough, but dated. The televisions were not hi-def or even flat screens, and the channel selection is quite limited. The breakfast is predominantly self-serve, but eggs and toast and bacon are cooked to order. They have an under-ground parking garage to keep your vehicle cooler and safer. The rates are fair, given the fact that they have moved beyond their glory years. Their central location is convenient to many things. Although they had Salsa dancing until late on Friday evening, we could not hear the music from our room. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I'd give it another stay!

This was the first time we stayed here and we were very happy with it. It is an older hotel but the amenities offered for the price could not be beat. Beds were some of the most comfortable beds we have slept on in a hotel but the pillows left something to be desired, funky little pillows, bring your own. The bathroom was tiny and the water in the shower was hot to cold to warm. But the location was nice and we will stay here next time we are in Albuquerque.

We love taking our Bible Quiz team to the Barcelona Suites. The rooms are big, breakfast free, game room and indoor swimming! The Kids love it. We go there 2 -3 times a year.

The last visit had some issues. The bathroom light in one room did not work, there were linens left in a chair in another room and they didn't have a ready supply of change for the game room.

The breakfast was GREAT, though!!!

Our family stayed for one week based on the reviews posted on this site and our stay was not pleasant. The place is falling apart. The elevators broke and the front doors broke. The pool may be warm but it is murky which is creepy. The "cooked to order" breakfast is not that great and is really the only thing they've got going for them. Hey, essentially, we got what we paid for. We got a really good deal from booking.com. The accommodations were very poor, noisy, and run down. My kids had a blast. Some of the staff were very nice and quite accommodating.
The property has a lot of potential with the right amount of TLC. Unfortunately, it just does not appear there is enough of it being put into the place right now at all.
A warning, corporate does not turn on the A/C until April 1 and they have Salsa dancing every Friday, it's very loud.

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel and I was very happy with it overall. The building is old, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and neat. I would advise bringing your own pillow though! When we go back, we will stay again.
