Owner description: This "Monthly Event" for only 20 people unleashes "The Spy House" dubious history. Now the central theme of an interactive dinner theater murder mystery. This is the very house where Atomic bomb secrets change hands from the US to the Soviet Union, which in turn exposed names such as Rosenberg, Greenglass, Gold, etc. This once a month event is great fun, please check out our web site calendar for availability and additional information.

“Rated #1 for a Reason”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Traveling to New Mexico with another couple and we try to find different things to see and do. Trip Advisor Fans had voted The Spy House as the #1 attraction. Never having done anything like this I contacted the other couple to see if they were game.

Spoke with Steve, the owner and got the 4 of us signed up. Before we left on our trip Steve had email us our parts, with what would be appropriate props. Everyone arrives a half hour prior to the mystery dinner, met at the door with drinks and more props, in case you didn't bring any. You wander with the other dinner guest and chit chat in character (or out of character with some). You are then seated as to your role, our group was kept together, but everyone is seated at a large banquet table.

Wouldn't want to give the mystery away, so we'll talk around it. Dinner was great and our wine glasses were never empty. We had a great group of people that really got into their roles and made it lots of fun, I think we were appx 4 hrs. Afterward we got a tour of the historic Spy House.

If they were to offer different mysteries, I would do it again on our next trip down.
Great fun.

“Wonderful way to finish a vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We had been in New Mexico for 10 days and finishing at the spy house was fantastic! The Murder Mystery was a blast, and we highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a great meal, laugh a lot, and do something a little different. If you decide to stay overnight (which I definitely recommend) The rooms are wonderfully decorated, comfortable, and breakfast is deliscious. We will stay again, and hopefully be able to do another murder mystery dinner.

“A wonderful evening!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

The murder mystery dinner at the Spy House last Friday was the most fun we have had in a long time! We were given character assignments beforehand and with everyone in character it was easy to mingle and talk to other guests. It was great that the murder mystery was based on actual events from the past. The dinner was delicious and the loose script that allowed for lots of ad libbing was great. Steve and Kara were gracious hosts, as well as excellent leaders for the play I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun evening's entertainment in Albuquerque.
