Nestled in between office buildings close to ABQ UpTown Mall and right next to the Uptown Sports Bar, we tried out the ABQ Brew Pub for lunch. We had a late lunch so there were not that many people there.
My wife and I had both had the Cubano sandwich. The sandwich is a delicious blend of pork, smoked ham with melted Swiss Cheese, spicy mustard, and pickles. This is one of the best Cubano sandwiches that I have had since I moved to New Mexico eight years ago. It was juicy and had all the components of a tasty, good size sandwich.
You have a choice of fries, regular, sweet potato, and curly. I chose curly. They were crisp and not greasy. My wife had the sweet potato fries, which were also perfectly cooked. We paired our selections with an IPA and American Lager. The beers and the food were a wonderful combination. The server was quick and efficient. We will go back there soon. A few years ago it was hard to find brewpubs that had both good food and good beers, this doesn’t seem to be the case at ABQ brewing. What a great find!
