“Lots of fun for our 9-year old”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

A ton of hands-on unique exhibits. We have been to a lot of science museum and Explora had many things we'd never seen before. Cons: the air conditioner was malfunctioning on the day of our visit, so it was extremely hot/borderline unbearable given the number of visitors that day. My daughter's only complaint was that there wasn't a lot of instruction on what you were to exactly do at each station. There were quite a few exhibits she was interested in, but couldn't figure out what she was to do to make them work.

“Fun and Educational”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

My kids have loved this place since they were very small and they are young teens now. There is something for every kid to do and lots of opportunities for parents and kids to do stuff together. We love this place!

“Fun kid museum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014 via mobile

Fun museum for kids. Better to go during school hours so there are less people. Needs some work in some of the areas but overall a good museum.

“We Could Spend All Day Here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Explora is awesome! My 2 year old had as much fun as me and my husband did. I loved marbles when I was a kid and right when you walk in is a marble playground (see pic) for any marble enthusiast. There are several water and air-powered experiments to play with. You can bike a high wire bike over the first floor of the museum. There is a room dedicated to bubbles...we could have spent all day in this room alone. There is a pool full of bubbles with dozens of different wands and bubble tools. You can also bring a lunch because there is a nice outside picnic area, as well as an outdoor play area. They do have a toddler/infant play area as well where you can close the gate and let the young ones play for a while. It is a good nursing stop for nursing mamas.

“Wish We'd Had an Extra Day to Go Back Again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

Unfortunately we were only able to spend half a day here, but we could have spent another eight hours easily.

At the time, my kids were five, seven and nine and they didn't want to leave when it was time to go. Every exhibit was thrilling and very hands on. They almost didn't know which exhibit to see next because they were having so much fun at each one.

The gift shop was awesome and full of many cool, educational toys and resources. We drove to ABQ from El Paso (which doesn't have a kids' museum) and we decided that it would be worth the 4-5 hour drive just to visit this museum again.

Outstanding exhibits and very engaging!
