“Historic church on plaza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

No trip to old town is complete without a visit to the church. It's a shame that the Baby Jesus in the nativity scene is a creepy Billy Crystal wanna be, but the church is very historic and worth a visit.

“Quaint Historic Church Worth Visiting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

Attended Christmas eve' service and the church was packed. Being in such an old historic environment has a special charm all it's own ~ feels like going back in a time machine to another era. Just sitting there looking at the old statues and 18th century cultural influence was inspiring. Didn't care for the service though & couldn't wait to leave. Outside there were luminarias, a creche, and live animals. Great 'Old Town ABQ' atmosphere for families to enjoy around the Christmas season.

“Beautiful church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

One doesn't have to be Catholic to appreciate the beauty of the old mission churches. San Felipe is nestled in the heart of Old Town Albuquerque and is worth spending a few quiet moments in. The gift shop is quite large and has many Mexican crafts and religious items available for purchase. Friendly staff.

“Truly old part of Old Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

The Church is one part of the old town that hasn't been converted to a gift shop, art gallery or restaurant. It's not as impressive as the church in Santa Fe with the beautiful staircase but it is very well preserved and still an active church. If you're catholic it would be a good place for the weekend Mass. I'd go to old town just to see this site. The rest of old town is pretty much like Taos and Santa Fe.
