We booked this hotel as part of a 7 day road trip.

Check in was easy and pleasant. You could not ask for a nicer desk clerk. Friendly, efficient and helpful. She had us in our room in record time. The hotel is a little difficult to find. It is right next to the Hampton Inn and is on the west side of I-25. There is another La Quinta on the east side of the interstate.

The room, 308, is faces i-25 but is relatively quiet. I can not hear anything but the bad boy mufflers and an occasional truck if I try. The furnishings are standard hotel room things. Good quality and well maintained. We only lack luggage racks. The internet connection is excellent and easy to use without going through all the usual hotel loops to get up and running. The bedding is okay. 3 pillows, a comforter, and a blanket. Good quality flat screen 37" inch HDTV. The sink is in the room. I don't like that kind of arrangement and deducted 1 dot for that. Everything is clean.

I used the fitness room. It had a treadmill, stepper, and bike. All middle of the road quality. A good TV was available to help you cover the miles.

This is a great location for the business traveler. It's just minutes from the Albuquerque airport and near the intersection of the east-west and north-south interstates that criss-cross Albuquerque. It's convenient by car to businesses and attractions anywhere in Albuquerque.

On the other hand, this is not a partcularly new (or freshened) property. Rooms have neen redecorated, but the fixtures and layout are still old-school. The room was comfortable and clean; housekeeping was prompt and thorough.

This is a three-story property, but there's only one elevator located quite a distance from the office and many guest rooms. The immediate neighborhood is a little sketchy.

This La Quinta can be most highly recommened for its central location and value.
