“Great family hotel, outstanding owners, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Things you will find in this hotel: 1) Friendly, family oriented service from owners who deeply care about you as their guest. 2) A nice breakfast, even when we were late she set it all back out for us. 3) Clean rooms, just wonderful cleaning service, fantastic job on both days we stayed. 4) Comfortable rooms, good beds and pillows, big TV. 5) Great value. However, be prepared if you are a hotel chain vacationer, you won't find a) State of the art laundry facilities, the laundry room is the same one they clean in, so the facilities are not modern. b) The ability to put things on your room tab or get access to a shop to get things, 7-11 and cash are your friends here. c) Big pool with extra towels (the pool is nice and well heated but very small, and towels were in short supply that night), d) Extra room keys, this is apparently a big deal for them. e) Around the clock desk service, my phone wouldn't ring anyone at the desk several times I tried it. If you appreciate local value with outstanding service, in an area that is sort of spotty (its not the hotel district on the North side, but its close to Old Town and the Zoo area), then this might be the perfect stay for you. I keep going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars because she upgraded our room and it was an outstanding value for what we paid. However, I usually stay at big hotels and the non room tab/shop thing bothered me, especially because the vending machines were empty as well, thus necessitating a late night trip to 7-11.

Room Tip: If travelling with kids ask for the rooms that have the three beds, my kids thought having their own...

We found this motel to be spotlessly clean, and after staying in some pretty disgusting places from Boston to Albuquerque, we were ready for a nice night's stay. The owner Kay was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was very plentiful and enjoyable. We would highly recommend this motel and will stay again if ever in Albuquerque,

The owners here are so nice. We came in at 2 am and were still greeted with a smile. We had a reservation but when we arrived were upgraded to an available King Suite. Everything was very clean and a very nice continental breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The King suite was so great. Nice big bed- we loved the extra space.

Clean, very clean! Comfortable beds and well appointed rooms. Very good showers with excellent water pressure. The pool is perfect for small children with a parent ( or grandparent). Breakfast is
good with standard motel features. Pride of ownership throughout. The owner, Kay, is a gracious and helpful host. Jimmy the maintenance man and his wife the house staff are super as well.
Very convenient to Old Town and Trillium Park (Aquarium & Zoo). When I'm in Albuquerque I won't stay any place else.

Beautiful new (about ten years) building; striking design and tasteful art work. Owner Kay is the most courteous host you will ever encounter and the friendly janitor is a joy to talk with.
Spacious rooms, tastefully designed and nicely decorated and provided with all the necessary amenities and chairs. Modern breakfast room.
Very good located on Central Boulevard with its Route 66 icons, close to Old Town, easy acces to the interstates and plenty of 'Breaking Bad' locations within reach. Tent Rock National Monument 55 miles.
Unbeatable price-quality value.

We were warmly greeted by the owner, Kay, and then personally shown to a wonderfully large, clean room to see if it meant with our approval. It most definitely did, as did Kay's willingness to direct us to Old Town, which was less that two miles away. The restaurant she recommended proved to be a great find, too. The next morning, as we were enjoying a nicely varied breakfast, Kay visited with us and seemed most genuine in her interest in us. Then she invited us in to her and her husband's apartment to show us that and to talk about her children and about the story of their immigration from India to the United States and their history in the motel business. Proud of their success, they were inspirational in their firm belief in the possibility of living and earning the American Dream. It was truly our pleasure to stay there and to get to know the owners. I'm sure we'll make a point of returning to this motel in the future.

Very clean and comfortable. Kay, the owner, is extremely helpful and serviceminded.
I stayed there with 2 friends and our rooms were spacious and clean. Kay drove us to the Old town the first day and to downtown another day, so nice of her! The morning I had to leave for the airport early morning she took me with her car. She really went above and beyond to help, a true gem!
