“Beautiful Hotel with a Fantastic Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

This is a 7-story business hotel on Louisiana and I-40. Convienient 3 mile access to Kirtland Airforce Base and Sanda Labs. The casinos, Fair Grounds and the Sandia Peak Tramway and also easily accessible. I had a room on the North side and was affraid of the noise as others have posted but I didn't notice it at all. Others that are affected by the noise must be very light sleepers. Parking is complimentary and plentiful no issues even when returning late at night. The hotel has a gazebo entry to the left of which is a Full Service Restaurant and Bar open for breakfast and dinner. In the Bar and Restaurant you'll find a daily happy hour from 5pm -7pm with discounted appitizers and drink specials. Also offered are free coffee and cookies. The business center has two couple of computers, printer, and fax. If your looking for additional restaurant options you will find BJ's, Marcelo's Chop House, Elephant Bar and many others just across the road and defintely walking distance. If your just looking for a snack the hotel has a pantry by the front desk. My room was clean with a small fridge and microwave. The best shopping in the area located across the street is called Uptown and Coronado. Only a couple of minutes walking distance. I think business people will enjoy this hotel but the weekend visitor traveling with children enjoy the pool with slide. The slide had set hours so make sure to verify it's open on the day's your traveling. Overall I highly recommed this hotel due to the location in Albuquerque and high level of service.

Always enjoy Hilton Garden Inn. Never disappointed. Good location. Get the bed and breakfast package if available. Good food. Ate there for dinner and breakfast -- good quality and tasty! Lots of amenities make this a wonderful experience. Staff was friendly and attentive, even housekeeping. Always love the bottled water in the room and cookies in the lobby!

While the hotel could stand to be updated a bit, the rooms are spacious and are fitted with all the needs of a long term stay. The best thing about this hotel for an out of town traveler is the location. Situation near a Trader Joe's and shopping center filled with restaurants and shops, this really is an ideal location with or without a car. Breakfast was comprehensive and a happy hour meal was served every night as well. The room came with 2 TVs, a DVD player, small kitchen with all the appropriate utencils, living room separate from the bedroom, and separated bathroom/sink area. A great find in a good location.

I stay here a lot for work and always request a highway room. Hasn't been a problem for the past 4 years. All of a sudden, I started getting highway rooms. Complete with earplugs (earlier this year). I stayed there last week and was again given a highway room. I requested a room change but was told that the hotel was full on the non-highway side AND they had just installed new windows so it should be just as quiet on the freeway side. In the end, it may have been a little quieter than before, but still required earplugs for a good nights rest. If you're Hilton loyal, there's a Homewood Suites just up the street that isn't near the highway and has free breakfast/dinner. I'll probably start staying there in the future.

Total experience was excellent. Breakfast package was excellent. Pool with water slide and lifeguard on duty not expected, but indeed welcomed. And, 24 hour access to coffee, tea, and flavored water a plus.

I was looking for a fun experience for my granddaughters aged 7 to 13. We had so much fun with the pool and water slide. The safety measures in the pool area were excellent. Our room was beautiful with a comfy bed and plush linens. The Hilton Garden Inn is a beautiful place, close to restaurants and shopping, with great amenities.

This is a very nice hotel with good service and a comfortable bed. My only complaint is that I was on the highway side. They had redone the windows and said the sound issue had been taken care of but it was still noiser than I'd prefer. I didn't bother to ask for a room change though. The shopping area nearby had a selection of restaurants but the night I was going to try eating there turned out to be prom night and everything was full! The salad I ate in the hotel restaurant was very good. I used Hilton Honors points, so my stay was free!
