“Absolutely GREAT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2010

This is a wonderful place. The accomodations are superb, and the hosts are simply wonderful. Breakfasts were really special. The hosts know the area very well, and are full of informative advice from dining to sightseeing. You will not be disappointed in any way.

My friend had never stayed in a B&B and he is now a huge fan! If you are tired of the sterile sameness of a hotel stay, treat yourself to true hospitality. The converted home is beautifully appointed and true to the period. We stayed in the Ivy Room which Steve recommended in a phone call. We were not disappointed and were amazed to learn that Kara had personally made the beautiful linens, drapes, and decorated. The personal touches stand out in our memories. We expected breakfast but did not expect the quality of gourmet meals that were served. Kara was available at arrival and at breakfast each morning to answer any questions and direct us to the best wineries and restaurants but never intrusive. We were lucky enough to have the Heritage House to ourselves that weekend but would have welcomed others to share the cookies, crackers, and cheeses left by our hosts. Loved having access to the refrigerator to store our own selections. I have to mention the beautiful grounds that adjoin both properties. We learned many weddings are performed there and it is easy to understand why. Thank you, Steve and Kara, for helping to make our weekend wonderful. I would definitely go back to Albuquerque just to enjoy the accommodations again.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at your bed and breakfast while attending a wedding, which conveniently was the site of the reception, also. We were in the Spy House and stayed in the charming Ivy Room with the large balcony. Everything about our stay was wonderful - the room, the atmosphere, the entire beautiful house, delicious breakfasts and last, but not least, the most accomodating and friendly owners. We will be back!!

Our experience was wonderful! The place is beautiful, the owners are genuinely nice people, the food is fantastic, and the price is very reasonable. I had a very low stress wedding experience here and I would highly recommend the Downtown Historic Bed & Breakfast.

Our visit was short as we got in late and left early the next morning so didn't have time to appreciate all the charms of the house. Steve and Kara were very accomodating and made us feel welcomed and cared for. We didn't have a car and it was a bit of a walk from the train.

We stayed in the Cabinet House which is located in the back of the property. It was private, quiet and had all the amenities we needed.......and then some. It is a separate building and it has a kitchen, living room, bedroom (with a huge closet and king size bed that was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in) and of course a bathroom. There were personal touches throughout and Steve, Kara and their family were great hosts. The breakfasts were outstanding and the extras like cookies and sodas were an excellent addition. We loved it and would recommend to anyone. It is clean and comfy. We will be returning next year for the balloon fiesta again. Great place. Thanks Steve and Kara.....................

We arrived to find a film crew at the spy house where we were to spend a pm, the owners upgraded us to a cottage which was at the back of the property where it was quiet and and very comfortable. It was like an apartment and would be great for a long stay. A one bedroom with living room and kitchen. There were personal touches everywhere including a makeup removal towel. There is an outdoor fire-pit at the cottage and a large one in the common area. The owners use local produce and food items to make the gourmet breakfast that is included. Oh so yummy. There is free internet, on site parking (free) and the BB is in walking distance to great downtown restaurants and shops. There are fresh cookies and other treats for guests that can be topped off with various beverages or water in your to go water bottle.
