This is a fairly new operation as a restaurant in Petersburg. They have been in the catering and event business for awhile but are now opening a few days a week for lunch and dinner in a smaller portion of their event space. We chose this while visiting in the area because they had a very nice-looking German menu. Our server was young and made a few errors (still learning), but he was being well supervised, and an error on the bar portion of our bill was corrected (and actually comp'd) by the management. We had sauerkraut balls, jaegerschnitzel, and beef, and all were well prepared (not soggy, like you sometimes find). The spaetzle was really good, too. We actually took the leftovers to our hotel to eat for breakfast the next morning! We didn't want to waste a bite. They also had a super cheese spread with the wonderful bread in the starter basket, and there was a jazz saxophone player providing entertainment (you had to be there -- he was really very good, and it was more appealing than it might sound here!) The overall experience was really pleasant and special, and we recommended the place to our relatives in the area. We will definitely go back the next time we are anywhere close!
