Charming, quiet, comfortable, enjoyable breakfasts. Definitely on the "will return list". Only minus, is that I wish we had had more time to talk to Tracy, but our schedules were out of synch.; we enjoyed the chats we did have.

I went to the Blucher House at the recommendation of a friend who grew up in the area. The purpose of my trip was to see the Willie Nelson show in Corpus and I travelled with my cousin. She and I had to share a room since there was only one available, which is something I never do! We both loved the place and I would go back again any time. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The others staying there were interesting and fun - breakfast was one of the highlights of the trip as it gave us a chance to interface with everyone there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BLUCHER HOUSE to anyone traveling to Corpus Christi. I plan on making another trip back when the weather is right for the beach!

Our children gave us a trip to Corpus Christi and the Blucher House as a gift for our 50th wedding anniversary. We have never been so pampered in all of our lives! The Blucher House staff made us feel right at home with hot coffee outside our room every morning and fresh-baked cookies every evening. Each of the three mornings we were there, the breakfast menu was different and delicious. The breakfasts were lavish, the setting was elegant, and the service was courteous and attentive. We especially appreciated the chef's consideration of some special dietary needs. Our bedroom was quiet, clean, well appointed, and had a marvelous view of the beatiful back yard. Our favorite room in the house was the downstairs library. It contains many books about the Blucher family, Corpus Christi, the King Ranch, and other items in South Texas history.

The George Blucher House is an elegant, restored historic home chock-full of good taste and fancy trimmings without being off-putting. In fact, we felt right at home with the super comfy beds and the incredible attention to detail. We especially liked coming home to warm, homemade cookies every evening.

Breakfasts were ridiculously large and good. The kind of food you’d expect at a chef-owned restaurant. I really enjoyed the unusual lemon eggs in ciabatta and the bananas foster for dessert. The breakfast table conversation was great, too.

Tracey and Randy are professional hosts, there when you need them but never intrusive. They guided us to several interesting sites; gave us a great steer on a local seafood restaurant and shared one of their personal secrets on the best raspas in the world…(that’s Mexican for “snow cone” for you uninitiated…..we’re now hooked.)

A perfect blend of fancy, professional, warm and friendly!

Welcoming, gracious hosts, a lovely room, and a fantastic breakfast, all at an affordable price. We haven't been back since last winter, but we will definitely return to this comfortable, beautifully appointed B&B at our first chance.

All I can say is "WOW!" Believe all the wonderful reviews and come visit Tracey and her beautiful home. When we arrived, she came to great us and show us to our rooms. The rooms are just incredible. Arthur's Suite was in the front, upstairs corner of the home, with the most comfortable king bed, a beautiful balcony overlooking the front gardens, a two-person jetted tub, and lots of space! Julius' Room is smaller and cozy, but just beautiful. There are lots of extra little touches that make this place special, including a warm greeting at check-in, cozy rooms all around the house in which to curl up and read a good book, a huge video library, warm cookies in the evening, relaxing music playing in the background (in the main rooms of the house), turn-down service before bed, beautifully manicured grounds with fountain, a kitchenette area in the upstairs (with refrigerator, ice-maker, coffee make with coffee ready for you in the morning, teas, microwave, and sodas), relaxing balconies, free wireless internet, and most especially, the breakfast.

Breakfast was served at 9am at the dining table on exquisite china with candlelight. The first course was fresh fruits, coffee, tea and juice. The second course was a flavorful egg dish with warm biscuits, bacon and hash browns. To top all that off was a finale of Bananas Foster -- my favorite! It was about 1 1/2 hours of great food and fun conversation with the innkeeper and the other guest.

Not only would we gladly return here, but we will make it a point to come back again soon!

My husband and I were welcomed graciously to this lovely B&B by Tracey who likes to have lights turned on, air conditioning ready, all the details attended to when her guests arrive. Our room, the Pearl, was cozy, clean, with door opening onto the wide front balcony where we could sit and relax, read, and take in the surroundings. We enjoyed the rear balcony particularly which looks down upon the beautifully landscaped backyard and gardens. An added special touch to this B&B is the small chapel at the end of the upstairs hall -- gives the house a serenity that can't be found at the most exclusive of luxury hotels. Tracey makes you feel at home with coffeemaker and teas at your disposal upstairs, cookies to welcome you back after a day full of adventures, thick towels and bathrobes in the bathroom and complimentary water bottles in the room, and you feel connected to the history of the house and Corpus Christi with books scattered here and there recalling the lives of the Blucher family. We slept comfortably in the Pearl, then awoke to an amazing, bountiful breakfast: first a creative pineapple tray dusted with almonds and coconut, then a baked egg-cheese-mushroom dish with bacon, home-grown avocado (the tree is growing just opposite the rear balcony), and croissants, followed by two delicious cinnamon rolls dripping with sugar and nuts...WOW. You don't want to let a single bit of this meal go to waste, but whose stomach is big enough to contain all this food??? And I have to add that the coffee was great by any standard...not the watered-down variety.
The B&B is located an easy walk away from Shoreline Drive and its T-heads. Walking together with my husband, I felt pretty safe both during the day and at night. Getting in and out of the B&B is easy. You are given your own key to the front door, and the door locks automatically when you come and go. After staying here, who would want to stay at a generic hotel? With this B&B, you enjoy a slice of Corpus Christi history, wonderful service, beautiful surroundings, and all at a very reasonable price.
