“Nice view”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Interesting pier, mostly filled with fishermen and their families. They charge you $2 to enter the pier, but it's good for a 24-hour pass, and the proceeds help keep the pier in good condition. It was a little shady at night, there are mostly families fishing along the sides of the pier, but I'd avoid the end, as this is where the serious shark fishermen cast their lines, and they are not very friendly.

At night it's hard to see much, but the sky is big and filled with stars, and it's fun to see the giant waves roll in.

“Part of Corpus' charm --”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

the Bob Hall Pier is a a great place to take in the local color and catch the rays.. catch a fish.. spend a day... especially now that the National Seashore is temporarily closed due to the moronic inability to make a decision in DC.

“good view of the 'happenings' on the beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Easy parking, comfortable seating, a fun place to hang out. Had the worst frozen Margarita I have ever had (and, while I am not an expert, I have had a few). Tasted extraordinarily disgusting. The waiter was very nice and my partner didn't want to hurt his feelings so we sat there and drank them - 'blech' (or did I mean to say 'bleach'!!). Waiter tried to push food on us - maybe we looked undernourished. Not a bad experience but I'll drink beer next time.

“Fun beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We found this beach to be perfect swimming spot after check out some citybeach. Like Megees, north beach, and Corpus Christi beach

If you park near the pier, the beach is just right. Nice crashing waves which made it fun to swim. The other city beach had barly any wave made it seem very boring. We had some small children which also had a great time swimming and racking up tiny clams. Make so you bring some quarters in order to shower in fresh water near the bathroom across from Bob Hall pier.

You can also park on the beach as close as you want with a permit that you can get at the shop right in the beach. But be careful of high water.

In our third day of swimming the wave was a lot stronger that wash up some jellyfish, have to be carful with little kids. We didn't have any shades, so we camp out under the pier with others

Things to brings,
- shade
- snack
- drinking water
- quarters for the shower
- lots of sunscreen. It is burning hot

“OK”

Beach kind of smells, no bathrooms, oil covered sand buried. The water was brown. But, it's a nice beach but not as nice as the national seashore
