“A must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Excellent spot. Lots of exhibits of many aspects of the war and other ships. The tour takes you all over the ship. Lots of climbing up and down original stairways and viewing of their sleeping, eating and health quarters. It was a good workout.

“Disappointed.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Very disappointed there was nothing for handicapped or someone with a stroller to be able to see any part of the ship except for the first floor.

“interesting but you better be in good physical shape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We are two senior citizens. Hubby wanted to explore the ship (he loves WW2 history). Admission charge to enter. Interesting exhibits but beware. To really see the ship you have to climb the narrow metal ladders/stairs to the various decks. It was hard on us and later on we could barely walk, like going to a gym and using the stepper for 30 min if you are out of shape, which we are. Seriously, we could hardly walk the next day and felt it for days. Sad commentary on us but it was fun at the time. The movie wasn't showing that day, they were getting ready for a Halloween haunted ship event. One thing that annoyed me was that they charge for lots of little things/extra exhibits. There is a snack bar but we didn't eat since it was not a meal time when we went. Not very crowded but it was a weekday in Oct.

“great time, you could spend most of the day here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

not knowing exactly what to epect we had budgeted about an hour and a half to visit the trip and then over to the aquarium. I will say I was suprised at the amount of historical info available. It was interesting for young and old alike. THere are bits on the side of the ship and up top on the flight deck that will be nervy for those with fear of heaights but don't let it stop you from exploring.
It was also some pretty good exercise with all the steps and ladders etc.

“Allow enough time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

We were greeted at the bottom of the gang plank and driven up to the Lexington in a trolley bus. The driver began our experience by providing us with some general information about the ship. The entry price includes a 3D movie, there are 2 different ones that run hourly. There are a lot of stairs to climb so you need to have a fairly good level of fitness and mobility.

We allowed 3 hours which in reality was a bit rushed.

Lots to see and learn about and all the volunteers on board are more than happy to provide information and direction. Well done!
