“Good spot for a walk or lunch/dinner”

Many good restaurants in the area and a nice little park. Fun spot to hang out. Parking is plentiful as long as you're willing to pay for it. Very clean and a good spot to take the family.

“A photographers dream.. but other's maybe not so much”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

I am a photographer so as one, YES, I LOVE IT! that said.. it is pricey, especially parking. There are quite a few shops and whatnot, most of them fun to go in. The sight of course, beautiful. We was a family did the Ice Show at the gaylord hotel. It was pricey, but there are 8 of us, 3 teen boys and 3 8 year olds. I called for the military pricing family package, and was over charged, but they did refund it. The tree lighting was really neat, the Ice show was.. but honestly, not for the price we paid (during the week is quite a bit cheaper however) I think the santa pictures should be included for the pricing or at least a big fat discount, there is also a gingerbread house activity but it was way over priced, at least for bigger families anyhow. The hotel it self however very beautiful, and nicely decorated both at Christmas and threw the year :)

“Attractive but not worth the cost & effort”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

With so much to enjoy in Alexandria and DC, and free parking pretty easy to come by in those places, I can't defend paying astronomical parking fees and limited eating choices here.

“Lots of hype”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Too commercial for me. No free parking and cookie cutter approaches to the development and shops. Christmas was a mob and traps for spending money on the kids.

“Lots to do”

I had a great time at the National Harbor. There are a lot of little shops and many restaurants to choose from. Close to DC if you wish to go into the city.
