“Great Accomodation!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2012

We recently stayed at this facility and we really enjoyed it. We traded (2) 2 bedroom units with RCI. The property and units were very nice. I don't know the age of the property but it looks brand new.
KITCHEN
The kitchen was nice and they had some things like: pan, pot, pitcher, cheese grater, but they need a cookie sheet. So if you are planning on using a cookie sheet you might want to bring your own. The seating in the kitchen was really good. They had a L shaped bench and 3 chairs and then 2 bar stools. We were able to seat 11 for breakfast every morning. BEDROOMS
The beds were comfortable- they were firm. The pillows are the down kind if you like that. One room came with two full beds and a TV and one came with a King bed with a TV. The king room had a separate shower and a whirlpool bath. The bathroom areas were really nice and had lots of storage for those that like to put your stuff away.
LIVING ROOM
The pull out couch in the living room was pretty comfy and was not "springy" or anything. The living room had a TV and DVD player.
LAUNDRY
There is a free laundry room on each floor. The washers and dryers look brand new and work well. There is even handicapped facilities on the 4th floor
AMENITIES
We only went to the indoor pool and hot tub. The pool is heated pretty well for the winter time. The hot tub is really hot, I think it is probably a little too hot. I like it really hot and I could only stay in there maybe 5 minutes or so. They do have a lifeguard on duty which kinda stinks because the kids weren't allowed in the hot tub some of the times. The rules were different every day. They even had a handicapped pool thing which was pretty cool. I have never seen a hotel so handicapped equipped.
They have a kids club room with toys and books, and they have a Wii room where the kids just sign up to play. We didn't do any of those activities but it looked like several people did. All the people were very helpful and nice at the property.
PARKING
The parking is owned by someone else and I think is normally $17 a day. While we were there they were running a special that you could get it for $10 a day if you prepaid. So that wasn't that bad, because you could go in and out as many times as you wanted.
RESTAURANTS
The hotel has a deal with several restaurants in the area that you can get 20% off your meal. Make sure that you stop by the Congeries for those restaurants and they have menus too.

WHAT TRANSPORTATION IS BEST????
This is our second time to DC and was tossed and turned over transportation. Before when we came there were just 2 of us and we could take the metro no problem but with 3 kids and 8 adults it was better to rent a car. Because we had so many people it was more cost effective to rent 2 cars for all 11 people and drive into the city. If you drive it only takes 20 min. to get anywhere you want in the city but then you have to look for parking. If you choose to take the Metro, you need to know that you have to take a Metro bus to the Branch Ave rail station and then take the 30 min. rail into the city. It will take you about 45 min. to take the Metro into the city. If you take the bus you have to have EXACT change. They do not take rail passes on the bus. If you have a smart trip card that will work on the bus. Also the earliest bus to leave from the hotel is 8:30 AM so keep that in mind when booking White House or Capital tours.

MUST SEE'S
Capital ( contact congressman for appointment)
Library of Congress
Smithsonian's
Mt. Vernon
Outdoor monuments
Arlington Cemetery
Bus tour booked through the hotel

Room Tip: Pool and amenities are on the 2nd floor

Traveled with husband and friends for a weekend getaway. Loved it - the view was nice. Had a three bedroom. It was roomy and comfortable. Furniture was sturdy and decor was nice. Bedroom were comfortable. My only complaint will be that the whirlpool tub wasn't as clean after we filled it with water and put bleach in the tub (we never used the tub). Some dirt was on the surface of the bubbles and after emptying the tub there was dirt. Housecleaning came to clean the tub. Don't get me wrong the bathroom was still nice. They just need to get in the air lines better.

My friends loved the space and they ended up becoming timeshare owners. Now lets get on the topic of the timeshare salespeople. I never have any problems, if you don't want to buy or to go to the presentation - than don't go. Never let anyone push you over. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

The $100 gift card was worth my time.

I will definitely stay again.

Can't go wrong staying at a wynhdam! The customer service is excellent! The suites are very clean, spacious & comfortable! Loved the full size kitchen. We saved money due to cooking breakfast & lunch in the room! Wyndham provided all the appliances needed to feel at home. the kids loved the wii game room and the variety of video games & movies. Indoor pool is a little small, but the outdoor pool is a nice size & they have a kiddie pool. The check in parking area is cramped because you also have people checking out so it get a little crowded. there was public transportation about a block away that took us to DC subway to get to downtown DC. Love that cause we didn't have to worry about DC PARKING! A short 15 min drive to DC. Great location! Also, there is a water taxi nearby (within walking distance, just a few blocks). kids enjoyed that as well. I look forward to the children's museum that is being built a block from Wyndham & the OUTLETS are coming! Yeah! The harbor is a short walking distance away & the kids can play in the sand, get ice cream and just relax on the pier. I look forward to going back!!

Room Tip: call in advance to checking in to request a room with view of the harbor

The location is great and close to all Washington DC has to offer. The property itself has plenty of restaurants, and shopping, as well as a convention center. The hotel itself is average, with nothing special to offer and it's general staff does not go out of their way for you. What ever you do do not forget anything because you will not get it back not even if you call within 15 minutes of checking out! I called a total of 6 times and each time got a different run around.

We stayed here for 7 nights... it was very nice with a full kitchen 2 bedroom, 2 baths, balcony use of swimming pool and game rooms. Only about a block walk to the bus to get to the downtown DC subways. The tour buses picked up right outside of the hotel. A couple block walk to the water taxi. The only down side was that there was no where to eat on the premises.

Room Tip: we had the 2 bedroom condo it was great for us actually to big. Would be great for 4 people to use...

We own Wyndham timeshares and stayed here two nights the first of the year. Our unit was huge and immaculate. Bed wonderful, thick towels, 2 large, flat screen TVs, etc.
Walking distance to several cool restaurants (somewhat pricey), but we loved the location.
We were there for only one full day and watched football at the Public House all day, so we really did not take advantage of things to do there, but it is perfect for all of the Washington, DC sights. We plan on returning for a longer stay to do the museums, etc. The front desk people weren't particularly welcoming (hangovers??) but they were at least civil.

My Husband and I stayed with my parents, sibling and aunt (6 total) at this hotel for week Dec 18- Dec 24. We stayed in two presidential suites, and we were all very comfortable. The hotel is very clean, new, and perfect for a family vacation. I felt pampered the entire time. I especially loved the bath and body work products they had in the bathroom. The main appeal of the resort, I think, is the kitchens in the rooms. It was great to cook every night for the family, and it helped us save money because we didn't always have to order out or go out to eat. We actually did not leave the area the entire trip because there is so much to do at the National Harbor. We will be staying here again.
