“For a Doubletree, a bit below average in the noise department”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed here two nights while on business in SLC. Hotel seems to be a bit dated with thin walls and perhaps the noisiest heating unit I've ever heard. Footsteps from the third floor sounded like an army although it was probably just one person. The WiFi was good, however and the meeting facilities were excellent. I thought the restaurant was overpriced and service just average. No restaurants close by so you're a captive audience. I don't know that I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor to avoid hearing every step of those above you.

Typical chain hotel, trying too hard to get your money. Prominent $4 bottle of water on table, turn the TV on to too many splash screens trying to sell you movies. No refrigerator or microwave. Heat/AC noisy. Small bathroom. Internet free and fairly fast. Beds just OK. In-room coffee ok (oddly, nothing to stir coffee on tray?). Restaurant overpriced. You know you are not in Germany with the skimpy breakfast buffet. Well trained staff. Owned by Hilton but lacking the quality beds and bedding.

Room Tip: High up in highrise would be best

Stayed here two nights while attending a conference. The room was clean and comfortable, with lots of pillows on the king size bed. I asked about a fridge for my medications. The man who brought it was just exiting my room as I got there. The conference rooms were easy to get to from my room and fit our use very well. They were all located in the same hallway.

Room Tip: 1st floor room on I-80 side was quiet, with a putting green & long narrow "lake" betwe...

Stayed here mostly because I was able to get a good rate. As a road-tripper I'm always disappointed with the lack of a mini-fridge, although I know that's not a part of the DoubleTree concept. The warm chocolate chip cookie is always a nice welcome and the room was nice and clean.

If I'm not mistaken, breakfast costs extra. But as a HHonors Gold member I got this included. The first thing I look for in a breakfast is good bacon. If you're a bacon lover, try to restrain yourself. Everything was fresh and the scrambled eggs was (fortunately) the real thing and was great coupled with the smoked salmon.

From the van driver to housekeeping everyone was courteous and attentive. The hotel was very nice and appeared to be recently renovated. The location is close to the airport and very quiet. Everything was spotlessly clean. You will enjoy your stay here while visiting Salt Lake City.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip. I love being greeted with a warm chocolate chip cookie after a long flight. My room was clean and comfortable. I had access to the concierge room and found the service there outstanding. They had an array of appetizers and drinks at night and a delicious breakfast in the mornings. The hotel has an indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room. The dining room was not busy but the service was prompt and the food OK. For dining in the later evening the bar will also provide food. There is an onsite Starbucks and a free shuttle to the airport. The only downside is there are not many attractions or restaurtants in the area. As a result, be prepared to either hire a cab or rent a car.

Hotel appears to be well maintained and check in was fast and efficient. Room was what you would expect for a hotel by the airport. Heater was noisy and made a loud noise every time it kicked on, but since I was only there one night, I turned the heat off.

Restaurant service staff needs some training. Do not bring main course to table 3 minutes after bringing the appetizer!
