“Nice Rooms, Poor Ventilation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

The room was clean, service was great, nice pool and hot tub, beds were comfortable. Real bad wind storm kept us up half the night. Horrible loud whistling noise coming through the door, no way to make it stop.

Good value for an airport hotel. Shuttle worked great, facility clean and in good shape, and the pool/hot tub situation was above average for this type of hotel. They advertise welcoming guests with a cookie but we didn't see any out

Dear David V,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. We just renovated and thank you for noticing. Our housekeeping team work very hard to keep the hotel spotless and they appreciate when a guest notices; thank you for that.

I am sorry that you did not get a cookie; that is a big deal to us! We will have an extra one for you on your next visit.

Safe travels,

James Courtney

Excellent amenities and facilities. Room looks like a 4 Star hotel or a 5 Star compared to some places. I was satisfied with the price I paid. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to SLC.

We stayed one night at this hotel and were headed right back to the airport the next morning. The room was spacious and clean. We were there in April but the weather was already getting warm so we turned on what we thought was the air conditioning to cool the room off. We went out for lunch and the room was 80 degrees when we got back! We turned the thermostat down as low as it would go (58 degrees), but the system kept running and it kept getting hotter. Finally we called down to find out if something was wrong with it, only to be told that they hadn't switched over to the air conditioning and we were actually running the heat. We were told to open the door to cool off the room. It was 80 outside, but eventually it cooled down some, but made for a warm, noisy night. Otherwise, the staff were very nice and we enjoyed having access to the Executive lounge. The shuttle drivers were great!

We found this hotel after first checking into one that was not what we wanted. We loved our room!!! It was #256 and it was a 2 story room! The bottom floor had a full bathroom with sofa bed, tv and desk and the door to the balcony. you go up a cute metal winding stair case to the upstairs with the king size bed and the biggest tub I have ever had in a hotel and another full bathroom and tv.
The tub was huge but not very deep, my husband and I put on our swim suites and got in the tub with our boys. They played and played. They could "swim" around in it and play with their toys. We emptied the water and added new a few times so they could get there play time in. This way we didn't have to go down to the pool.
We fed the ducks from our balcony and both boys loved this. Our room was facing I80 and close to the airport but we couldn't hear any noise. We slept really well.

Now for the cons of the room. It DID NOT have a microwave or fridge in the room. I called and asked if they had one they could bring down and they were all out. We have a 1 year old who needs milk in his bottle at night so this didn't make me very happy. We had to fill the sink with ice and put the milk in there. Luckily it kept it cold enough and it didn't spoil. I felt for the price we paid and the fact that it is 2014 and cheaper hotels I have stayed at all had fridges and microwaves this one should have had them!! They have a restaurant so there isn't a free breakfast in the morning which I can understand but it would have been nice to just grab something quick and easy for the boys for breakfast. We didn't eat at the restaurant because we felt it was kind of expensive so we drove into town to eat.

There aren't really any close places to eat so you will have to drive into the city which is about 7 or 8 miles not bad if you have a car if not you can eat at the restaurant on site but it was a little pricey.

We will stay here again as we did love our room. I will just try to reserve a fridge when I book it.

Room Tip: room 256 is a two story room with the biggest tub I have ever had in a hotel!

We needed a place to stay in Salt Lake City that was convenient to the airport, and this hotel was perfect. It was clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel is right on I-80, and yet the room was quiet and we slept well. I took less than 10 minutes to get to the airport the next morning. Oh, and they give warm cookies on arrival! We didn't have an opportunity to try the restaurant, but our overall impression of the hotel was very positive. Did I mention the cookies? :)

Room Tip: There are a lot of kids playing in the indoor pool; if you want peace and quiet I would request one...

there were ducks! they ate bread. and they were cute. we fed them all the time, we even stayed at another hotel but came just to see the ducks. whitey and green head are my favorite but orangey and speckly are my moms favorite. whitey has a mom that is too fat to fly, if you want to catch one she is the best one to catch

Room Tip: first floor near the high rise, thats the closest to the ducks
