“Great place but pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Located within close walking distance of both the Hilton and Marriott hotels, it was confusing once we got there because there are actually two separate entrances: one of the oyster bar and the other for the grill, even though both carry the same name "Market Street Grill". We went to the grill side, which had a much shorter wait time. Pleasant decor and well lit.

“I would like to go back tomorrow and order the same thing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

I found Market Street Grill on my last night in SLC. The clam chowder and crab cakes were so good I wanted to stay another day and go back. But if I did, I would be tempted to try the crab stuffed salmon that the server recomended (and maybe a crab cake on the side).

“So So”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

It's not that the fish isn't fresh. It's not that the ambience is festive. It's the cooking is pedestrian. I mean, I can grill a better slice of salmon at home. On a school night. When I don't feel like driving to the store for fresh herbs. But this place doesn't seem to care about flavor. Or much else, for that matter.

They do have some nice wines, tough. But they're priced way too high.

“Can't find a better fish restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Fresh Halibut. Can't find a better place in town. Clean, the waiters are professional and courteous. Eager to please. They aren't pushy they let you have time to look at the menu and decide. It is clean and inviting. I always enjoy eating at MSG.

“Now significantly overpriced for what you get.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

They've gone mostly a la carte and upped all prices. They are now repositioned in our catalog of favorite restaurants from monthly to special-occasion-only. There are many local restaurnats with fresh, nutritious food without having to necessarily pay ultra-premium prices.
