“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

The room is great, spacious (I stayed in a standard double room) and clean. Parking is convenient. Service is good. However if you do not plan to rent a car and want to go to downtown area. The hotel is a little bit far by just walking. The area is a little bit annoying. No good restraurants and hard to find a convenience store. But if you have a car,it wouldnt take long to get downtown. Breakfast is great.

For the rate, it's super outdated with poor service. The loft rooms are especially unacceptable. I especially don't enjoy the long walk to the rooms. Apparently, the rooms in the new tower are much better, at least updated. I would prefer to stay at the Hotel Monaco any day! I will never stay here again.

This was a clean hotel not necessarily near center of town but rather about 5 min drive (further if you walked). It was a older hotel (from outside) although it has undergone renovations. It is standard hotel fare however wish it had been closer to downtown and the area seems a little sketchy with people hanging out at all odd hours (nearby further lot had a sketchy guy hanging out late at night); in fact I parked closer to hotel even though it was not legal parking as I was concerned about safety (I also got "hit up" by guy when I initially arrived around 4 pm with some story about he doesnt have gas and money and needs money etc.. . .

There is a airport shuttle which is convenient. .. the hotel itself was nice standard hotel chain fare with nothing really distinctive.

The staff was warm and friendly and there is a pool which was closed due to season as well as whirlpool which I used.

Would I stay here again probably not but chose it as am SPG member. I probably would stay at Kimpton which is centrally located in downtown but as I was just spending one night and had an early flight this was reasonable place to stay and at $89/night decent choice

We were happy in this hotel, the room was clean and the spa was very nice. Unfortunately, the reception tried to charge us for some "Street Grill" that we didn't have so we had to claim that. Moreover there was no breakfast included so I am giving just average review because of that.

The place is clean and elegant and last July it cost only around $100 per night. Breakfast is expensive, but you can grab a bagel and coffee for a few bucks. We enjoyed a perfectly grilled burger at the hotel restaurant just before closing (10 pm), reasonably priced.
What the city offers in July is the Mormon Temple museum, quite interesting to us. We were also lucky to attend a rehearsal of Mormon Tabernacle Choir (gratis) at its new location - a large, splendid music hall. The hotel is located a 20-minute walk from the museum and the choir.

Waited 25 minutes for shuttle van after 10:00 pm. Front desk clerk had to call police after homeless lunatic made fuss in lobby. My room card key did not work first, second, or third attempt. Master card failed, so was assigned other room.

WiFi did not work until called front desk for correction to my name on folio for userid access.

On the plus side, they offer Starbucks in room with coffee maker and real half and half. Big help getting ready for early departure. All good hotels need premium in room coffee and REAL half an half; not crappy non-dairy stuff.

Very good pillows and bed, slept well. Nice, cozy lobby with fireplace.

Room Tip: Avoid north side rooms facing brick wall. Prison style view.

I was very disappointed in this hotel, as Sheraton used to be thought of as a high class hotel. Some of the disappointments were : the outdated decor (such as 70's style carpet), extra cost for internet, cheapness throughout right down to the cheap papery toilet paper. Don't plan on sleeping in at this hotel, the maids are noisy and bang around as they clean
