This hotel had great amenities with a beautiful indoor pool, up-to-date fitness center, and the best free breakfast of all the places we stayed on this trip. With its expansive lobby and well-appointed rooms, this would be an ideal location for a business meeting. The hotel is located near to downtown attractions, but is on the outer edge of what is comfortable walking distance. I would not walk here at night, but the location is convenient if driving. Parking is free and well-lighted.
There were two things that earned this hotel a less than excellent review. First, the room smelled strongly of some kind of floral room freshener. Opening windows did nothing to reduce the smell. Second, there were plumbing problems. The toilet overflowed, and while it was fixed very quickly, this seems to be an issue for the building. There was a problem in one of the lobby restrooms, and another reviewer mentioned the plumbing, too.
Staffing seemed adequate, and the front desk folks were helpful in providing directions. Of the four hotels we stayed in this week, this hotel had the most reliable internet service. The connection did not drop out and it was fast.
The bed was comfortable and clean. Overall, a good experience, with the room freshener being the one thing that made us uncomfortable.
