“Watch the eagles soar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2010

A wonderful experience all around. The house is gorgeous with a spectacular view of the sound. The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious with bald eagles to entertain you as you eat. Bonnie and Phillip are gracious hosts and always ready to suggest a destination. We had a fabulous time and hope to return again!

My girlfriend and I spent three wonderful days at Sea Cliff Gardens. She's about to be deployed overseas and the weekend was a special one for us. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities. The location is quiet and beautiful and the hosts, Phillip and Bonnie, couldn't have been more kind and hospitable; they are great people. And the breakfasts were hearty and delicious! I can highly recommend Sea Cliff Gardens to anyone seeking a beautiful, comfortable and serene getaway.

Just returned from four days hiking Olympic National Park. We chose BJ's Garden Gate B&B and selected the Victoria's Repose room. Our experience with the amenities, food, garden area and especially Bonnie and Phillip made this one of our most memorable trips. The owners have created a truly home like environment where guests have many places to explore, to sit and enjoy the beautiful gardens or share stories with other guests. BJ's Garden Gate is a gem and Bonnie serves a terrific breakfast!

BJ's is a wonderful place to stay. It's a charming B&B and absolutely beautiful--the flower gardens and decor. We stayed in Ludwig's Chamber, which had a wonderful view of the garden and ocean. Bonnie & Phillip thought of everything down to the smallest details. There was even a small magnifying mirror attached to the large mirror so you could easily put on your makeup! I've never stayed in a B&B this close to perfection. Since we were boarding the ferry early in the morning, Bonnie provided a "breakfast to go" which was wonderful--huge muffins, fresh fruit bowls, yogurt, juice, coffee/tea, breakfast bars... I'm sure the breakfast at the house was outstanding as well. Bonnie was very warm and helpful, and answered all of our questions. If we ever return to Port Angeles, we will definitely stay at BJ's without question! I strongly recommend it.

We phoned several times to get directions and our hosts were waiting at the door step greeting us both by name. Drove through the country to get there. Extreamly quiet location. We saw 15 deer grazing the first day and 4 the next. It is a Victorian style home on a beautiful bluff overlooking the Straite of Juan de Fuco, with two long well kept gardens boarding the lawn down to the cliff edge. Extreamly clean, beautifully decorated. Big enough spa in the room to fit us. The breakfast was at a huge dinning room table set with china, crystal and gold utensils. A full breakfast delicious and freshly made. The host's very warm, friendly and cheerful service is #1 to them. Very pleasant experience. We plan to go back.

My husband and I, along with a sister and her husband stayed at BJ's Garden for Labor Day 2009. As a former Travel Agent I am pretty picky about where I stay. My husband and I have stayed at many B&B's across Utah, Idaho and WA and this was the very best B&B yet. It exceeds it's website. The Grounds are extraodinary. The front is wooded with natural follage and flowers mixed in. The lawn area is meticulously cared for. The B&B itself is beautiful with big rooms all with large picture windows overlooking the back lawn and gardens and out to the sea cliff and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Every room has a private bath w/extra large showers, and all but one room have a jacuzzi truly built for two. The rooms were also well appointed with Victorian style furnishings, and warm cookies to greet you in every room. No phones in rooms, which was great, but with cable TV and wi-fi. The back gardens were even more breathtaking than the front with a very large lawn bordered by hundreds of different variaties of flowers all well cared for and weed free. The lawn led out to a cliff over looking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This was also breathtaking. We went to the cliff daily and saw a grey whale just hanging out between 50 to 300 yds off shore. Amazing. Also each morning as we took a walk there were white tailed deer everywhere. You could get pretty close to them. The Breakfasts were to die for, served in an elegant dining room again with beautiful furnishings and a huge picture window overlooking the gardens and sea. You half expected to see an english family dressed in white playing Cricket on the lawn. The owners, Phillip and Bonnie visited with us at breakfast and were very pleasant to talk with. They were more than willing to help us to have a remarkable stay with advise on what activities there were around as well as good resturants to try. They are new owners and are changing the name to Sea Cliff Gardens which suits it much better. Very centralized to activities for all you Twilight fans as well as those wishing to explore the Olympic National Forest, Victoria BC, fishing, boating and Whale watching. Would love to go back for a longer stay, well worth the trip.

This was my first time staying at a B&B. We stayed int he Marie Antoinette room. I was so surprised at how spotless our room was. The breakfast was also great. Bonnie does a great job at trying to please all of the guests. The view was great and we got to watch eagles hunt in the afternoon. The garden was beautiful and well maintained. Bonnie and Phillip were always available to help without being intrusive. This has definitely set a high standard for what I expect from other B&Bs.
