“Enjoyed our stay over Easter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

We stayed at Olympic Lodge for 2 nights over the Easter weekend. The room (with patio access to swimming pool path) was roomy for 4, beds comfortable and the pool and hot tub were welcoming and wonderfully warm. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful when one of our bags arrived a day after we did! Free tea from the kitchen was appreciated before breakfast (which was good and generous) as was free WiFi and space to relax in the lobby while other members of our party were still asleep. We'd definitely come back if we return to Port Angeles - the pool in the Spring sunshine was a real hit with the kids and helped us all wind down at the start of our holiday.

Room Tip: Patio room gave us space to sit outside in the sun and dry swimming things outside (nothing over the...

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! I'm so glad you enjoyed the patio rooms--those are definitely my favorite rooms, since you get that outside space to enjoy. We hope to see you again very soon!

We received a warm welcome by a very friendly desk staff. The room was spacious and clean and comfortable. The lodge is located close to the ferry terminal which made it really convenient. We'd recommend this hotel as very good.

We arrived at the Olympic Lodge and were warmly welcomed by the Front Desk. It was around dinner time and they happily recommended three restaurants in the area to try. The King room was a view room which looked out onto the golf course. The rooms are updated with flat screen tvs and there is a sink outside the bathroom area as well. The only negative was the walls are a little thin. We could hear our neighbor "hacking" through the night with a major cough. The next night we called down and asked for a take out pizza recommendation which they provided and it was good. There is one restaurant somewhat close to this hotel but it would be nice if you could at least dine in in the am with food from their cafe.
All in all we would return as it appears to be one of the nicest hotels in the area.

Room Tip: I would spend the additional money for a view room- otherwise you'll be looking out over the par...

I wish trip advisor had a good rating between average & very good. The rooms in this hotel are very nice. The lobby is beautiful and the restaurant that served breakfast was very good. I had a room however near the pool/jacuzzi & this area is extremely loud every night until 10 pm. If you are going to stay at this hotel make sure you get a room away from the pool/jacuzzi. Also, the in-room coffee is terrible and there is no coffee service in the lobby. Free & easy wi-fi. The exercise facility could be better. There is a nice view of a golf course on one side of the hotel. Not sure if you see anything but the street from the other...

Thank you very much for sharing your experience at our hotel--feedback like this shows us where we need to focus. Our pool and hot tub are only open for children until 9pm (they close completely at 10), and we take any noise complaints we get from guests very seriously. Also, we are proud to offer locally roasted Dungeness Coffee Company coffee in our restaurant every morning if the complimentary in-room coffee isn't to your taste. Thank you again for choosing the Olympic Lodge!

After extensive research of properties to stay in while exploring the areas of Olympic Nat'l Park, we chose this due to prior reviews and room size (reserved the two room suite w/view of golf course/mountains). We were very pleased with the location of the hotel (quick drive to restaurants, Safeway and park). Room was expansive to give mom/dad a break from kids with two TVs. Pool was heated so kids could swim. Evening soup/cookies was a very welcome touch. Staff were friendly and welcoming. This was the perfect choice for us as compared to the Red Lion (while much larger and on the water), feel of the smaller hotel was the best choice for us. We will definitely return when coming back to the park to explore when more roads are open during summer months.

Room Tip: Two room suite with view is well worth it

Thank you so much for sharing your review of our hotel! I'm so glad you enjoyed our Olympic Suite--we are very proud of its sweeping views of the pool and golf course, with Hurricane Ridge in the background. I'm so glad you enjoyed our other amenities, like the complimentary soup and cookies, as well as the only outdoor heated pool in Port Angeles kept open year-round. We look forward to seeing you again this summer, and make sure you book plenty of time in advance!

I really enjoyed this hotel! The beds and linens were very comfortable and felt luxurious! The hospitality is wonderful with free homemade soup and cookies every evening and a warm fire in the lobby every morning and night. The carpets were a bit outdated, but is easily overlooked wiht the amenities! I will stay here again!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We love providing amenities like our complimentary house-made soup and cookies and our wood-burning fireplace in the lobby, amenities that really bring out the rustic "lodge" atmosphere for guests visiting the national park. Thank you so much, and we look forward to your next visit!

they have done a beautiful job especially in the lobby of this hotel. There is slate style stone floors down there that really adds to a nice rustic ambience. They have a real fireplace with real wood in it and beautiful fire screen doors. We hit the hot tub and it was nice, the golf course behind the hotel adds to the general beauty of your room when you have the curtains open and there is this green expanse behind your window. We rented an executive king with view room for three nights.

One thing I don't like is they have the icky flowered comforter on the bed, but from perusing their website, they are replacing these in April with duvets, etc, so that will no longer be an issue. the heater in our room was kind of wonky, sometimes it would say it was 74 degrees in the room and it would still feel really chilly, and it was a little temperamental, but I've been finding that issue at a lot of hotels I've been at, and it wasn't overly troublesome.

We did have breakfast here that ended up at a whopping 40 dollars for two people, but wow, the quality of the food was just about worth it. I got a side of bacon that cost four dollars, but the bacon was among the best I have ever had. I also got the rain forest french toast and it was PERFECTION. so it's up to you if you want to pay a bit more for quality food.

I would stay here again for sure. We were here in off season, but it was so wonderfully quiet and we really didn't hear many other travelers. I don't think there was people in the rooms on either side of us, so I can't really speak to how good the walls are, but they seemed solid from our experience. Oh, the mattresses, I wouldn't say they were out of this world, but both of us found it to be comfortable, and it didn't hurt my back, so I would say they are average to slightly above average quality.

Room Tip: We were in room 341 at the back of the hotel, you can see some of the mountains from here and a gorg...
