“Stay Longer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2012

We had a very late arrival thanks to a GPS that inisisted we take a late evening ferry crossing(make sure that option is turned off when planning a trip to the state of Washington). It was a very long day and when we called Monica (reservationist) she was so pleasant and kind we almost didn't mind our nearly two hour mistake. When we arrived just after 10pm, the fire was still lit and she offered us some soup if we hadn't had time to eat. This hospitality was just so extradionairy I wouldn't have minded if we had been offered a closet instead of a beautiful suite.
The rooms were cared for in the same manner as the staff cared for their guests. Clean, spacious everything one would need for a comfortable stay. We had a beautiful view once the sun had come up and the staff had wonderful sugggestions for fun day trips.

Breakfast was very memorable and the chef was very engaging and cared about what he prepared for the guest. Organic eggs, six-grain bread( that was superb) and potatoes that were personally prepared and he did this not only for us but every customer. A family that was in a hurry asked what the chef what he could serve in under 15 minutes and voila there were pancakes with fresh cut fruit served in under 5 minutes. Smiles all around. Personally, I think the kindness of the staff rubbed off on all the guests because everyone seemed to be happy at having chosen such a peaceful respite from our frenetic world. Congratulations to management for putting together such a wonderful staff!

Thank you for the comments you posted regarding your stay at the Olympic Lodge. Our staff understands how exhausting a day of travel can be, and we are happy that there was some warm soup to offer you! Our chef now prepares dinner meals that are just as wonderful as what you experienced at breakfast. We're glad that you were so pleased with your stay!

We came down from Vancouver in late 2011 to help a family member move her parents belongings to Canada.

When we walked into the spacious lobby, we immediately saw the cozy fireplace and the comfortable seating.

The staff was very welcoming. Working in a hotel myself, I really appreciated all aspects of the hotel. The spacious rooms, the lobby, the heated pool that was open late at night, which was especially relaxing after hours of heavy lifting. We spent most of the evening in the beautiful lobby, chatting and relaxing. It is filled with lovely pictures of the area, wooden decoration and a lot of attention to smaller detail.

We loved our stay, I wish we could have stayed a little longer to enjoy it even more. We would definitely stay in this hotel next time we're back in Port Angeles!

Room Tip: we stayed in a very spacious king room facing the golf course and it was just wonderful!

We love hearing about guests enjoying our lobby’s real wood-burning fireplace! We are proud to display one of the largest collections of Ross Hamilton’s photography, and our lobby is highlighted with ironwork handcrafted by a blacksmith in Klamath Falls, Oregon. We are happy to have provided a relaxing environment for your stay!

This was a clean, comfortable and very nice hotel. You can even see the mountains out your window if you are on the golf course side of the hotel and it's a clear day (not that common) Probably the nicest place to stay in Port Angeles. Close to everything in Port Angeles and a good place to stay to explore the various areas of the Olympic Peninsula

Room Tip: Golf course side is very nice - can see the mountins on a clear day....

Large motel style room, very good location and well priced relative to chain hotels.

Room Tip: Try southside, away from road. Nice wall art too.

We found this hotel on Trip Advisor, and spent one night in order to catch the ferry in the morning. The lobby is warm, with a nice fireplace. We'd been hiking on Rialto Beach late on a November afternoon, so we really appreciated the complimentary broccoli cheese soup and bread available upon arrival. They later had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at the front desk, complimentary as well. The rooms are very nice and clean. Good bathroom, with good counter space and lighting - very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. We called the desk for an additional pillow, and they were pleasant, and brought it right up to the room. The restaurant is open for breakfast only. We had a good omelet with fresh, local ingredients, and some of the best pancakes we'd eaten anywhere- light with confectionary sugar and local berries! Some of the best accommodations on our trip.

We are pleased that the Olympic Lodge staff could be helpful to you throughout your visit. The soup was a wonderful feature of the winter months and we now have something even better to offer, our Olympic Lodge Bistro, which serves fresh local seafood and delicious Northern Italian cuisine. Thank you for your positive comments about our hotel!

From the moment we walked in, we knew this was a great choice for our 3-night getaway over Thanksgiving. I can attest to the high standards there from all the details they got right. The friendly staff made us feel welcome at every opportunity. The large lobby of stone, dark wood, and leather was a major component of the warm feeling, especially in the evenings when the large fireplace had a roaring fire. On Sunday through Thursday they offer free soup in the cafe at 5pm, with bread and large seasoned croutons. Later in the evening large cookies are available in the lobby -- I give the chocolate chip cookies a solid A, and I'm picky. The cafe offers several superlative breakfasts, including a daily quiche with fresh fruit, Belgian waffle + fruit, pancakes, etc. With the nice view of the golf course in back, the complimentary USA Today, the exercise room with its 5 machines and large flatscreen TV, the jacuzzi and heated pool, the marble sinks (two) in the bathroom, and the solid fast-connecting WIFI, this was a no-brainer 5-star review. We will be back!

Room Tip: Get a room on the back side, 2nd or 3rd floor, for best view.

We stayed for one night at the Olympic Lodge in Port Angeles, WA to start off a nine day trip through the Pacific Northwest. After walking into the beautiful lobby, we already wished we could have stayed longer! It was extremely clean, welcoming and well decorated with an upscale lodge feel. Having just had a long day of travel, the staff was friendly and fast so we could get to our rooms and head out to dinner. The front desk staff gave us several recommendations for dinner and our choice, Wildfire, was amazing!

Rooms were quite large and roomy. We were traveling with four (4) adults and decided to get two rooms. After walking into our rooms, we really could have just booked one as the rooms were very large.

We enjoyed breakfast the next morning in the hotel lobby. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the meal as well as the outstanding service and overall presentation. After check-out, we went to the Olympic National Park for the day which was an easy drive from the hotel (took us about 30 minutes to Hurricane Ridge).

Anytime we are in that area again, we will be sure to stay at the Olympic Lodge and I would confidently recommend anyone to do the same!

P.S. If you have a Triple A membership, they offer room discounts making this even more affordable!

The Olympic Lodge provides a wonderful “home” base for exploring the Peninsula, as we are central to the best attractions the area has to offer. Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your trip, and thank you for sharing your feedback!
