I highly recommend this B&B. The view from the second floor Garden room (where we stayed) was simply incredible. They have trimmed the lower branches of the trees so you can see out to the Strait but at the same time the trees give the grounds a depth of field rather than featureless flat field offered by other nearby B&Bs. This B&B is located on top of a 200+ ft. cliff so you get the view without all the noise or fumes you sometimes get staying at the water level. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The room itself was enormous with a giant window facing the Strait of Juan de Fuca as well as windows facing the koi pond and the other lovely aspects of the grounds. It even had a little private sitting area high-up outside where you can watch the sunset if you want total solitude. The bathroom was huge with a large shower (great water pressure/hot water) and a giant two person tub. The room had a sink in the bathroom as well as one in the room itself which was very helpful when my husband and I were both trying to get ready at the same time. You can request towels, sheets and blankets that are fabric softener/drier sheet free which is a huge bonus to those of us allergic to those things. Though the address is Port Angeles it is located more near the quiet town of Sequim, WA rather than the more noisy port town of Port Angeles. From that location you can range out to Cape Flattery, Hoh Rainforest, Victoria Island (Buchart Gardens), Rialto Beach, La Push, Forks, various Lavender Farms, Dungeness Refuge, Hurricane Ridge or nearly any other location on that side of the Olympic National Forest. The B&B is minutes from the Ferry to Vancouver Island/Victoria BC. I highly recommend making reservations for the ferry (especially the return trip) when traveling in the summer. The house itself is well decorated but not overdone. The library has floor to ceiling windows with a wonderful prospect out towards the Strait. The living room has giant windows looking out towards the Strait. My only complaint was that the free wireless internet did not work in our room and barely worked in the library though it was strong enough in the dining room. The breakfasts were ample and extremely tasty. They can accommodate special dietary needs. The conversation with the other guests around the breakfast table was lively and interesting. At all times you could have as much interaction or solitude as you wanted. The sunset view from the patio or the room is not to be missed. My favorite memory was of the tiny deer fauns that would traipse across the lawn while you were sitting there enjoying the view. At dusk a large owl would silently swoop over head on his way to the cliff face. The whole B&B is set up for quiet so you can enjoy the beautiful view and the sounds of nature around you.
