“Beautiful and beyond!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

You really need to come and stay here to experience such an amazing home! From the moment Janet greeted us at the front door, I knew we found a very special place to stay! We lucked out with a cancellation for our night here. Our room was HUGE! It was appointed with every perfect detail. Our king sized bed was comfortable. The view out the front window was glorious!. The view out the bathroom had me gazing at the ocean while I lazed in the jetted tub.
There were homemade cookies and coffee in the dining room. The back veranda facing the ocean spanned across the back on the home!
Breakfast included a fruit parfait, a cinnamon bun and salmon quiche. There was a coffee urn filled with what else but....George Washington Coffee!
Dan and Janet are terrific owners of this breathtaking estate that overlooks a lavender farm at the front and the ocean at the back!
Thank you so much. It was wonderful visiting with you!

Words and pictures do not do this wonderful Inn justice. We first found the George Washington Inn on our travels to the lavender farms last year. Once we saw the Inn we knew we had to return as guests. Truly every detail has been thought of and handled in a first class manner. The location combines all the wonders of the mountains and the seas. Inn-keepers, Dan and Janet, are excellent hosts and offer the perfect combination of meeting all your needs and allowing you to enjoy your privacy. Honestly, it doesn't get any better. Thank you for a wonderful get-away.

The George Washington Inn is a beautiful place to stay. We were lucky enough to be there in July when the lavender and wild flowers were in bloom. The rooms were very large and comfortable. Breakfast prepared by Janet and served by Dan were always delicious. It's an out of the way location but close enough to Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent. It is located right on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Truly a wonderful experience for us!

Add the George Washington Inn and Lavender Farm to your list of must places to visit and reason to travel to the Pacific NW. With all the modern comports of home, it is at the same time a trip back to a less hurried, earlier time and the attention to detail in the décor captivating. We were there at the peak of the lavender season, the color in the field and fining the long drive to the Inn breath-taking but so was the spectacular view from the back of the Inn which is situated on a bluff overlooking a strait. The beauty and serenity of the setting combined with the friendly and gracious hospitality of Janet and Dan, and the delicious breakfasts had us regretting we didn't plan several more days at the Inn on our return trip from Victoria. And be sure to plan a leisurely visit...or two...to the Lavender Farm gift shop where you'll find delicious and unit gifts of all things lavender.

Our first brief visit to Olympic Peninsula could not have been better. What a terrific location - right on the Strait of Juan de Fuca - we watched a harbor seal frolic, watched the cruise ships sail by, and had terrific views of Mt. Rainer from the bluff overview. The food and hospitality - first class!

Thank you for your kind words, Neal. Just a minor correction. You meant Mount Baker, not Rainier. We hope to see you all again.

Everything about our stay at the George Washington Inn was top notch. The construction and appointment of the rooms is 5-star quality. The grounds and location are stunning. Dan and Janet do an excellent job of making one feel welcome and that help is available while at the same time giving guests plenty of space for a private experience.

Without question, one of the best places to stay in the state of Washington.

Amazing inn, great views, breakfast and hospitality. a winner good place to stay if you want to tour the Olympic Peninsula or be in Victoria and come across the water. Each breakfast topped the next and was served in an amazing porch setting overlooking the water. loved the grandfather clock that chimed the hour and the piano they had. I needed to practice for a master class i was taking and most hotels do not allow you to play. here they welcomed me. since the inn was builit 11 years ago it has state of the art fixtures and is very modern in an old world mansion. unusual combination
