We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was a treat just to get away for a few days... even though we visit Port Angeles twice a month for groceries. It was great to get away from home for awhile.
I called the hotel about three hours before we would arrive to book a room. We got there a little bit after check in time began and they had said we were only booked for one night. I asked that it be corrected for two nights and it was done with no fuss.
We had a king sized bed in a room on the second floor. The room smelled as though it had been recently cleaned and it looked nice and cozy. They left us a neat little book with ads for things and restaurants around town.
Everything in the room worked: the shower, the toilet, the TV, the outlets, the lamps, the fridge, the microwave and the fan. We did not use the coffee maker, but they left us complimentary coffee pouches which was nice.
When the toilet was flushed it was rather loud for about a minute afterwards, but if you close the door it's not that big a deal. The overhead light went out once for a little while, but later came back on. It was odd, but nothing troubling. The only thing really annoying was that the cleaning cart going by was very loud when you are trying to sleep. Not everyone staying in a hotel gets up early. We wanted to sleep in.
The hot tub was open, but we did not take advantage of it. Another family was already in it, and I'm not supposed to go in one right now anyways (new belly button piercing).
We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up wanting to stay another night. We went downstairs to the front desk at midnight (pay day direct deposit!) and the man there helped us to quickly book the same room for one more night.
We didn't go for complimentary breakfast (we were sleeping in and not ready to leave the room before 10 am), but on the morning we left I did go check the area out. It wasn't anything special but I took some muffins. The banana muffins were good.
Dominos delivers quickly. Gordy's delivers quickly. We walked up the street to Baskin Robbins and Okasan.
Overall, I liked this hotel. It was reasonably priced, the bed was comfy, and the staff we talked to were very nice.We will stay again one day!
