These folks were homeless and a local agency had paid for their stay for a week. They trashed the place and we asked them to move out - refused further rent. Within 15 min. of us notifying them - they said they were missing a camcorder from their room. We notified police - their story kept changing. We did not enter room to clean that day. As soon as housekeeper opened door and saw the mess, she immediately closed it and came to office to report the state of the room (per our policy). I went and also opened the door - did not enter room. Re-locked door and posted notice on door. The police told us they did not believe them.

We stayed here for one night in August. Be prepared for very basic accommodations. The room is very small and old, 2 double beds, old 40s style bathroom. There's no a/c and the electrical is old (our tv would go off is we touched the cord.) The motel is close to the highway and rather noisy. That being said, the owners were a very nice family. They gave us a fan for some ventilation (the room was quite stuffy) and white noise. Also, the room was clean. We paid $74, which is a good rate for Port Angeles, but there's no breakfast. This is a good place for a quick one night stopover, but not someplace I'd want to stay for more than that.

This is a nicely rebuilt old roadside hotel. The parking lot was a little tight, but that is my only complaint about this quaint little hotel. I don't want to give the impression that everything was perfect, this is not a five star place. The wall had a small hole in it, but it seemed like the room had been very recently painted, so the hole could not have been there long.

My neat freak wife liked the place and felt no need to buy lysol to finish cleaning it (she really has done that before).

This is one of the lower priced hotels in Port Angeles, and you get a lot for your money.

First let me make it clear that this is not a motel at which I'd want to spend an extended vacation, but as a one night stopover or as an inexpensive base for exploring the area, it is still a good choice. It is a classic motel. Very basic. Bring your own shampoo and hairdryer. No internet connections. But the room, bed, and bath are clean. There is a small refrigerator and microwave, and a small television. It's adjacent to the main highway toward Olympic National
Park, and less than five minutes from the Victoria ferry terminals and downtown Port Angeles. But still it's quiet. The staff are also the owners and they were both very friendly and very helpful in giving me some needed directions and suggestions. My "above average rating" is relative to other like establishments, not the entire pool of possible accomodations. I get to Port Angeles on occasion and will stay there again.

This motel lacks "curb appeal," but the room was very clean and more affordable than other options in Port Angeles. It's a decent choice if all you're doing is stopping over for the evening on the way to somewhere else.

This is a family owned and operated motel overlooking the port. The room was spacious containing 2 beds, a futon, a recliner, a walk-in closet, a full kitchen, and a shower only in the bathroom. There was a definite odor in the room (like cats,) and the owners went out of their way to help the situation. They put a new futon in the room and got rid of the old couch, and provided us with odor eliminator spray. They bought this motel six months ago and are trying to get it all up to snuff. New windows and painting were both evident. It was within walking distance to Alberstons. The price was great and if you can handle the small stuff, I would recommend it for the value.
