Okay, there are two kinds of hotels I like to use on my vacations: one is just a clean place to stay with useful things in the room like coffee maker, fridge, and microwave for an affordable price for when I'm out and about doing things. Then there are the more luxurious ones I look for that cost more, but they have amenities like a workout room, indoor heated pool/hot tub, spa facilities/restaurant, fire place, balcony, jetted in-room tubs and so on. This was a good "affordable" hotel just to stay in (no special amenities). I mean it had a coffee maker, blow dryer, small fridge and microwave and it was clean and decent sized (not very big), the doors are open to the outside (no indoor halls). We made sure we got a view room (paid 20$ a night more for it) but was great even though the water was 4 blocks away and there were power lines in front of the window. The sunset going down while napping on the bed was great. It also has tv with cable which is nice. When I rent higher end rooms I like the option of renting movies. A plus is continental breakfast. I stayed on a summery, holiday weekend so the price was 140$ per night for view room with 2 beds. A little ridiculous, but decent. The pillows were nice and did not give me allergies. The room you can tell that many years ago was a smoking room, but that's okay. The bathroom was big, shower nice and had good water pressure. Fridge kept things very cool.

Overall: good to stay in. The ONLY thing I wish besides maybe 99$ a nite rooms, would be for them to have balconies. With that view it's like torture to not have a balcony. But overall: I recommend it for a decent hotel to stay in or if you have kids. They also have ice machines and elevators and it feels generally safe. The staff is friendly.

“Decent Room - Gorgeous View”

Port Angeles Inn

The room itself was comfortable if dated and not real crisp. We were in room 225, which has a balcony and a glorious view of the port. The room was a bit over-priced for the quality but very close to what the Quality Inn next door was getting. The staff was friendly.

The room (224) was clean and we had an excellent view. The decor in the room is dated and the bed was comfortable. The elevator smelled bad and the stairways were dark. Continental breakfast included: good sized muffins, bananas, apples, bagles, pre-packaged pastries, and the usual hot and cold drinks. There was coffee and tea in-room and the complimentary shampoo/soap/lotion assortment.
We would stay there again if other accomodations didn't work out.

Our room was clean and comfortable with a twin bed and a double. There was a nice writing desk and a table. There are many restaurants nearby- try the Kokopelli Grill for dinner.
The lobby is host to a small breakfast choice of packaged muffins, danish & bagels, with juice and coffee. It is located just up the hill from the ferry terminal which is convenient if taking the ferry to Victoria, BC. Highly recommend the Victoria Express!
We would stay here again.

“old and dated”

Port Angeles Inn

We stayed at this hotel one night before catching the ferry. This is a MOTEL and very dated and old. The lobby is dark and shabby, the rooms also. Everything is old. Our room was very cramped barely can walk past the bed to the tiny bath. No sink area to put anthing down. Practically no closet. The tv would not work and we had to work with the cables. The bedspread, sheets, blanket all old and thin. We tried to get our money back but the lady would not let us. We had no view and was a corner room with only a small window to the parking area. My husband picked this because it had a continental breakfast, consisted only of coffee and a packaged muffin in the tiny lobby no where to sit. I am shocked by the others comments, can it be the same hotel? This is a 1 maybe a two rating but definitely not a three. I cannot recommend it to anyone.
