A very nice place for breakfast. It was recommended by a local and it was very good. Service and waitress very good. Would go back for sure.

“Great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We found this place on TA, and tried it because it was within walking distance of our hotel (Red Lion Inn).

We had a super breakfast. The restaurant is very small, but although it was a Saturday morning there were a couple empty tables.

The waitresses were attentive, the coffee cups were never empty, and the food was great.

It is located on one of the main streets and the sign is a bit hard to see, but it is worth finding this place!

We would eat here again.

“Terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

We ate at First Street Haven once. It was terribly crowded (not because there were alot of people but because it's so tiny). The one thing we went there to try they were out of so we ordered eggs benedict instead and when we got it the hollandaise sauce was burnt. It tasted terrible. We asked for new servings (nicely) and they told us that the whole pot of sauce was burnt and that we could order something else if we wanted. We did and it took forever for our order to be ready and they still charged us full price in the end. Most places would have given some kind of a discount if not given us our full meals for free.

“A Piece of America”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

This is a small town diner of the highest caliber. Food, service, ambience
are all just right plus a full variety of "comfort food' dishes. Further, they
offer gluten free lemon cake instead of toast!!

“Fantastic hole in the wall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Very tiny cafe, but worth the close quarters. Free parking only a few doors away. EXCELLENT food. Fabulous coffee cake. Serves breakfasts and lunch. Have a frequent eater punch card; I've filled my several times over and I don't live nearby.
