“First stop of Olympic Peninsula Wine tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Really enjoyed our stop as part of the tour and the snack food with their wine was excellent. They went above and beyond and the beef and mushroom stroganov and apple dessert were restaurant quality. We left with several bottles of wine and a new entry in our GPS to come back in the future.

“Wine Tasting perfect Kayakking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

We went for a 1/2 day family kayak trip and enjoyed a little wine tasting, beer tasting, gourmet chocolate sampling, while snacking on some of the many cheese & cracker selections they have available. Very convenient right next door, with a comfortable, friendly bistro type setting. The wine was excellent with a price range that was nicely varied. I really liked that they also offered beer sampling there too.

“our favorite local winery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

The tasting room is always open, and the staff is always friendly and helpful about the wines, and also about the area. We belong to the wine club, so we take advantage of the parties and special events hosted by Harbinger. It is always a good time with good food, great wine, and a chance to meet new people.

“Harbinger Winery - a little cheese, a lot of wine and some beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Just one step thru the violet door opens a wonderful wine experience to everyone who visits Harbinger winery. Sara, Dave and all the crew make you feel at home the minute they see you - with humor and wine knowledge. Sara Gagnon, the winemaker, was born to make wine and it seems every ‘season’ she blows us away with a new blend or nuances to old favorites. My favorites (today anyway…) are La Petit Fleur and an old standby, Dynamo Red. But, for an added enticement to visit the winery, they also have a brewmeister and you can experience a beer tasting along with some local cheeses. A perfect day would be to pick up crackers, a couple cheeses and a bottle or two of wine and head up the hill to Hurricane Ridge for a breathtaking scenic picnic. Be sure to buy a few extra bottles to enjoy at home. Sara has also included a little ‘gift corner’ in the tasting room which showcases local artists and authors.

“More than meets the eye”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

If you stand on first impressions as your guiding principle then you will sadly miss a wonderful diamond in the rough when it comes to Harbinger Winery. Truth be told the facility is unassuming, but walk inside those doors and be prepared for the unexpected. Nestled inside a metal building is the quaint tasting room that includes an eclectic selection of local artwork, locally roasted coffees and cheeses and a variety of other gifts. But best of all is the fabulous selection of wines, crafted by a local vintner, Sara Gagnon, and her "crew." I'm usually not one for white wines, but I have to say that the La Petite Fleur and Viognier are two of my favorites. If you are a red wine drinker, like me, then you cannot go wrong with El Jefe, Barbara, or the Evolution. Sara has a gift for wine making, and for friend making. Stop in and you, too, will be come a fan and a friend. You can't go wrong!!! Oh and for you none wine drinkers, there's beer tasting, too!!
