“Superior Customer Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2011

We stayed here for our club's annual event, Valentine's Day. From checking in, checking out and all the time in between, we were treated like royalty by the staff. Every detail was taken care of for our large party and some things not even requested seemed to show up! There was so much to do, shop, golf, walk the boardwalk, Hurricane Ridge so close by and the Casinos! We had a small glitch checking out, but it was instantly taken care of and we were on our way in minutes. Beautiful place, will go back again, for sure.

I stayed a few times at the Red Lion in Port Angeles in order to catch a ferry the next morning. Every time the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms clean. It is also a pet friendly hotel which I find very valuable.

Room was clean and nice with deck overlooking the beach. I like the walking path just outside my door and the city dock area just down the path. India restaurant across the street was good food.

The room was good sized and clean. Resturant had good food at great price. I would stay there again if I'm in that same area.

Unusually friendly and accomodating staff, great location, affordable, somewhat aged, but kept up nicely. I'd stay here again without question.

They say that Doctors make the worst patients, if that is true... then other hotel workers make the worst guest to please.... me being one of them. I want everything perfect when I get there and if it is not perfect I want them to make it perfect quickly....
The Front Desk workers at the Red Lion in Port Angeles were gracious and accommodating. Kara did a fantastic job checking us in and making sure our room met all of our needs. She was polite and helpful everytime we went into the office for anything.
Our room was on the ocean side of the hotel. It was CLEAN and the beds were comfortable.... nice pillowtop mattresses. We had a fridge and microwave in our room.
I was traveling with my daughter and we like our beds made very differently, the housekeeping girl (I wish I had got her name) was able to meet our request on several different things and at no time did she make us feel like we were "high maintanence."
It was an incredible view, we even watched a seal play. Quiet- the only noise we hear was the ferry coming in and the fog horn.
We did not eat there, but ate at nearby rest. which were delicious.
If you go up two blocks across from the movie theater is a little coffee shop that plays live music on Friday nights and serves great coffee...
Overall I was impressed with the Red Lion, the workers, and the area. I will definately be back.

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights during our Olympic NP visit and it's in a great
central place for that purpose. The room (not harbor-side) was large, clean, and it was great having a sink in the bathroom and another outside the bathroom. 2 of the 3 rooms had a refrigerator and microwave. Ours did not for some reason.
The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. I would recommend ear plugs because
of the truck brake noise from the stoplight being at the bottom of the nearby hill. Commerce goes on even while others are on vacation.....
This is my first Red Lion experience.
