The family run, family friendly atmosphere is welcoming as you enter, as are the sunny yellow walls. The service is friendly and it is easy to have a conversation without a lot of loud music or sounds from the kitchen. The portions are large and prices are modest. They do not serve alcohol but you can bring in your own wine from the liquor store next door.
Pho Tai (a traditional soup meal) and a tall glass of Sinh To Bo ( avocado bubble tea), made fresh when you order, so TASTY! Definitely my daughter and my favorites. If you have never tried Vietnamese food, don't be hesitant. Think fresh and healthy. You control the spiciness of most of the dishes. Likewise you chose if want meat, you chose what meats to add to your Pho. The ingredients are fresh and crisp.
We have tried other dishes on the menu but somehow Pho is such a comfort food for us, two anglo-saxon/Latina women. Take note, unless you haven't eaten in a week, order the small or extra small. The portions are HUGE. Of course, left-overs for lunch the next day is great too.
It is worth the 45 mile drive, one way, for us to go eat at Pho Saigon. The restaurant sits back from the road, behind the Longhorn steak house, in a mini strip mall.
Been twice in the last two weeks. Hope to get there again tonight. They have take out, see their online menu, if you live closer. They have a special seating area for small groups.
