“Not to be Missed.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

If you are an Allman Brothers fan, and even if you're not familiar with them, this place is first class and worth a visit. Being a huge lifelong fan and having grown up nearby, I always tell people to go here. If not in the area or just passing through, make a special trip and check it out. The staff is wonderful, down to earth and always willing to tell you what they know. The collection of memorabilia is fantastic and well presented.

“Excellent collection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

An excellent collection of guitars, clothing, posters and other memorabilia. The house itself is beautiful restored and shows off the collection. The staff was friendly, including the dog.
Go and enjoy the collection!

“Fabulous collection of ABB memorabilia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

I am a music lover, and the Allman Brothers Band is my favorite band. I point this out, because undoubtedly, I enjoyed the artificats tremendously, being such a fan. From vintage instruments belonging to band members, to fantastic oil paintings of various group members, to fascinating documents (such as original lyric sheets of songs like "Midnight Rider"), there are things to catch throughout the self-guided tour. The staff could not possibly be more helpful, more interested in the musuem and band, and nicer. Great visit; highly recommended, especially for fans of the Allmans.

“StonyBrook University from NYLI was well represented !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Being a long time fan of the Allman Brothers they were common to see around Long Island New York and particularly at Stonybrook University. It was as stepping into a time warp when we visited during our latest vacation as we visited Macon for the first time. It was absolutely amazing to find an actual recording of the Brothers at Stonybrook on Halloween in 71', this will be a cherished addition to our audio collection since it contains Greg's playing contributions. Seeing the memorabilia brought back so many fond memories of the times (folks always said flashbacks would come). The staff present at the time enhanced our visit with additional Brother's history as well as local interesting spots to visit.

“Top Venue for Southern Rock History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

I visited this museum with extended family last weekend. If you've got any interest in rock music history, this is a place to see. Greg, with a gray beard and long gray hair, is an almost oracle-like fellow on Allman Brothers' history. It's amazing how much Band memorabilia is contained within these four walls! Agreed, it's hard to find, even though it's on a main Macon thoroughfare. But it's well worth it, once you're there. (It's a well-maintained Victorian-era home, that "blends in" on its street.) Plan on at least an hour or two. Few will be disappointed with a visit here!
