This is a remarkably good restaurant in a very small town. Salads were done well and the ribs were excellent. Atmosphere is sort of like a pub though a bit brighter. Background music is very good (owner does the mix). There does seem to be a thing in New Zealand about stacking food. If you don't want the side dishes soaked with the sauce, order them on the side. Some pretty good fries got pretty limp widen placed under the ribs on which the sauce was poured. Worth going to if you are in Franz Josef Glacier
