“Great Day Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We went on a Harrisons Cape Runner tour to 90 Mile Beach. Very enjoyable day out. Plenty of comfort and refreshment stops. A basic picnic lunch provided. Enjoyed the sand surfing on the sand dunes.

“Great ride on 90 mile beach, Harrison's was wonderful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

We have taken Harrison's Cape Runner tours twice with visitors in the past 3 years. It is an exciting ride up the beach, depending on tides, plus we all enjoyed tobaggoning down the sand dunes and the visit to the top of NZ and the lunch in a beautiful beach plus stops to see Kauri exhibits. Great value and excellent drivers, very knowledgable about the region and Mauri culture and they are really excellent drivers, which you want on the beach.

“Up north's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

We had a tour up to Cape Reinga and on the way back the tour bus drove down the 90 miles beach. This was my first time driving on the beach for this long (1hour at least) and man it was awesome!!!! WE absolutely loved it, with so many keen fishermen on the beach, you are sure to see some amazing fishing moment as you pass by.

“Great - Travel in Harrison”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Simply great! Thats what I want to tell about 90 mile beach and the Harrison coach trip through the 90 mile beach. The beach is awesome. Its a must see, if you love travelling. Hole in the rock, sand area, many beaches and many more!! The coach driver really helped us and guided us and made our trip excellent. We paid only NZD 50 per person for a day trip!

“Harrisons Cape Reinga Runner, a must-do trip to see 2 Oceans meet!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

We picked up the tour bus at Kaitaia where our guide was Robin Collins, a man with a great sense of humour, a deep knowledge of the Northlands and a gift of the gab perhaps partly inherited from his Cork born grandfather who arrived in New Zealand with his parents at the age of 14. Starting about 9am with a visit to the Ancient Kauri Kingdom craft shop at Awanui, our trip included a lunchtime picnic stop at beautiful Tapotupotu Bay and a bracing walk down to the spectacular setting of the lighthouse at Cape Reinga where the Pacific Ocean on the right meets the Tasman Sea on the left in a clearly visible watercolour merging boundary. Then a drive on to a beach and into the quicksand patchworked waters of Te Paki Stream and Sand Dunes, with an opportunity taken by several of our more daring bus companions to surfboard down the enormous sand hills nearly 500 feet high. Then a fantastic bus drive down the ninety mile beach, catching sight of wild horses, stopping to collect beautiful sea shells and listening to more entertaining stories from Robin about the Northlands and its social and economic history. After some 77 pleasant and comfortable kilometres we were back on land reaching Kaitaia about 4.30pm. A great trip enhanced by the very well informed driver, a fascinating landscape, excellent value for money and our good fortune in having a lovely sunny day on which to visit and thoroughly enjoy the Northlands and the most northerly point of New Zealand.
