“Simply Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2011

Spent 3 nights here with my fiance and never wanted to leave.

Everything about Cedars was perfection, we stayed in The Terrace.

Bree was incredibly helpful, and booked us in for all the trappings we wanted with no hesitation.

We've found perfection and it's at Cedars Mount View.

My partner and I stayed at The Creek cottage at Cedars last month on our first trip away. It was without doubt the most beautiful accommodation I have stayed in. On arrival we cracked open the complimentry bottle of champagne and took in the view from our secluded deck. The HUGE television was a great as well as the luxurious king bed and spa. We will be going back, but may try one of the other villas next time - I'm sure they're all great!

Stayed for 2 nights in the "Ridge" . We wanted a quiet weekend away in what we hoped was decent accommodation.
What we encountered far exceeded our expectations.
The room was first class with excellent privacy from the other cabins.
The service and willingness to help from the on site management was very much appreciated.
The location is close enough to the main wineries, restaurants etc whilst still providing the sense of isolation we wanted.
Be aware there is no mobile coverage on the property however we found this a godsend.
If we could give 10 stars to Cedars Mount View we would.
Just book. You wont regret it.

We stayed in the Gums Cottage, on arrival we simply got a wave from the caretaker. The door was unlocked and relaxing music was playing. Perfect check in. Breakfast provisions were great, spa was fantastic, cottage felt like home, big balcony, bose stereo. We sat and ate oysters and Petersons champage on the deck. Sensational. Quiet and relaxing.

My husband and I wanted to go somewhere close to Sydney, in luxury accommodation, where we could be left alone and enjoy time together before our first baby was born. Cedars Mount View was perfect.

The location is lovely. It is about a 15 minute drive to Pokolbin, so you are not right in the centre of the wineries, and right in the middle of a huge property, full of wildlife - many types of birds, kangaroos grazing right outside the cabin and cicadas singing out beautifully.

We stayed in The Terrace, a luxurious, clean, cosy and romantic split-level place for a couple. Little chocolates on arrival, complimentary bottle of wine, breakfast hamper included in the price - so food was all taken care of! There is a lovely balcony, where we breakfasted both mornings, looking out into the bush, listening to the cicadas, and looking out for the kangaroos (which we saw at dusk both evenings we were there, but not the mornings). The king sized bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom immaculately clean, the spa bath for two we used both nights (even though it was hot outside!), air conditioning was great and the entertainment system fabulous, with a good selection of DVDs. We had a problem with using the DVD player the first night, which wasn't a huge problem, and when we mentioned it to the staff the next day, it got fixed within the hour while we were out - I was so impressed with their efficiency and the extra chocolates they left us!

The self check-in and check-out system is wonderful, especially as we we just wanted to be left alone and not have to engage too much with other people, which is sometimes a problem when staying at B&Bs.

We had such a restful and relaxing time at The Terrace at Cedars, we will surely be back!

We stayed here for our Wedding Night - and WOW - this place was AMAZING!!
Best hotel i've stayed at, probably ever! We stayed at the "Vue" lodge, and the pictures on the website dont do it justice, it is far and away a million times better! It was recommended to me by a friend and after seeing the website I had doubts, but after staying there can not praise it highly enough!

We arrived late after our wedding to find the fire lit and waiting for us, music playing and rose petals scattered around the room.

The set up is a studio style apartment with a sunken living area and balcony, and then a raised kitchen, which is concealed by a wall, and then a King Size bed and a spa 'corner' with a large sunken spa and heated tiles. Bathroom is an ensuite and also has heated tiles, shower was amazing - it has one way mirrors for windows, so when you are in the shower you look out onto the bushland, but from the outside it just looks like a mirror - a bit disconcerting at first, but seeing as there are no other lodges nearby its ok.

Kitchen was fully stocked with an abundance of breakfast supplies, far more than we could eat (and we are big eaters!)

And what a view to wake up to! When the sun comes over the mountains it is amazing, we had Kangaroos out the front of our place both mornings.

The only downside is its a bit far away from everything, and we got lost coming back from dinner in the Hunter Valley Gardens one night ( a must see btw) - which was really creepy becuase there are no strretlights and we ended up on a dirt road in fog....but anyway thats not their fault - i recomend taking a gps because it is tricky to get to, but once you are there it is worth it!

I cant wait to go back, this places oozes romance and is just what a couple needs to relax and unwind!

My husband and I stayed at Cedars in “The Vue” cottage for our 1st wedding anniversary. We chose the Hunter Valley region to enjoy a few days of wine tasting good food and relaxation and that is exactly what we got.

The Vue is a modern gem hidden in the bush in wine country. Just minutes of taking in the 360 degree country views and all the stress of a busy lifestyle will melt away.

The cottage is a new spilt level sanctuary with all the luxuries. Enjoy the BIG Flat screen TV with Foxtel and a DVD library while you sit in front of the roaring fireplace for the cold nights and air conditioning if it gets a little warm. Or hop into the spa for two complete with vanilla scented candles and bubbles.

The bed is elegant and luxurious. Soft and fluffy so you’ll never want to get out.

The kitchen is top of the line with ultramodern first class appliances that you’ll want to try, even when you’re in relaxation mode. Our package came with a breakfast hamper leaving our fridge fully stocked with loads good quality local produce. (too much for the two of us) We also had a delicious cheese platter which was fresh and sumptuous and went great with all the nice wine we picked up.

If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of a busy working life, put your feet up at The Vue at Cedars. We left relaxed and refreshed and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
