After coresponding with the owner Jorge via email he confirmed that he had booked 2 beds for us for 2 nights. Coming up to Easter montanita is getting busy and we wanted a room booked for our arrival. We got to the hostel at about 6pm to be told in there was no space by a lady on reception who couldnt speak english. She phoned someone and again said 'no space' She wasnt concerned or apologetic at all. We ended up walking around for a while and actually found cheaper accomadation and also got our own double room. If thats what happens before we even stay im glad i didnt stay there in the end

We really sorry about your hard time, after my investigation, i found you never did the downpayment of the 50 % ,, it was just a Verbal intention you will go to the hostel, but you do not paid a reservation in advance at all

Alicia who works in the reception, had tasked a recepit, to and you never show it, ( as you did not paid ) .
Unfortnately other people show before you as you arrived 6 pm
Sometimes people say "i will go " and they don´t , and we can not blame them .
All our guest when they make the downpayment has their room,
we have cases from people that has paid us over 1,500 usd in 4 months in advance, and they got their room, we are so serious always
we know that Alicia , went with you to the hostel located next to Esperanto, in order to help you but unfortunately was full booked also and you asked her that , she MUST to go out and find a place , in not good way acording to some other guest, but she could not leave the hostal because she was the only employee in this moment, but she advice you others hostel around the area
In fact you leave your luggage and your girlfriend wait for you there and 5 mintues later you come back to our hostel , we suppose you found in one of hostel we recomended
If i would have been there, be sure, i would have gone with you , we are very know to go further to our obligation,

we checked also your profile about hostel´s opinion and you have 70% of them no more higher than 3.
so i will take what TRIP ADVISOR said about it and SIC " We encourage travelers to take the whole of a property's reviews into account when judging it. If most other reviews are positive, travelers are likely to see a negative as a mere aberration. "
We respect your opinin , beside , you NEVER STAYED in our hostel, we understand you got a bad time, about your "reservation without downpayment" , but also you never saw how our rooms looks like.
It is true Alicia doesn´t speak english , and this year she will take classes, she is a local girl , she has learnt a lot , and we are proud of her, we have had 49 positives review from latin travelres and englsih spoken travelers ,and they have been satisfied about our Team ( including Alicia) besides the language barrier, we beleive when someone give a services as Alicia do, with love, and smile in some way language could be managable , that is our esperanto language,
We alwasy think we need to improve things we are human, and we make mistake, when we makes mistake we trying to find a solutions and fortunately our reputation we have got haven´t come easy and that is due the othre travele´s opinion who has had nice experience with us =)
