“Beautiful views and fast lines!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

We enjoyed the zip lines in Mindo. We bought our tickets just before entering Mindo at a house on the right. (If you don't buy them there, another spot sells them just before the little bridge on the way.) The Tarzan swing wasn't working when we went. It rained for about half of our time, so be sure to wear something rainproof. Also, the lines dripped something rusty and ruined my shirt, leaving rust spots all over. Oh well - wear something that is ok getting dirty or ruined. We had fun here then ate lunch and did the chocolate our at el Quetzal before heading back to Quito.

“Zipline adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

My nervous, afraid of heights wife submitted herself to the zip-line adventure. With some initial help from the staff, she was on her own after the third (of 13) lines, and on her return was excited and wanted to know if there were others in Ecuador. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The only problem seemed to be that the climb between zips was often steep and difficult for some in the group.

“Fun day of Ziplining for a total of $19”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

This company does more than just ziplining, but I opted for ziplining. They suggested jumping off water falls (with the help and knowledge from the guides for a fee, of course) since it was along the path of the ziplining but I did not have a bathing suit at hand...

$15 for foreigners for 13 zip lines.

$4 to take a truck up to the ziplines OR you can walk (for free) which probably would take 30-45 minutes.

Another $4 to get back down - I suggest walking.

They have an English speaking woman that will describe the activities at the office, but the Ziplining guides speak little English.

Duration: an hour and half or so

Other info: There is a bit of hiking to get from one zip line to another but nothing too bad! There are also fully functioning bathroom at the zip line office and there are water jugs at sporadic zip lines in case the activity dehydrates you.

“I was Superman!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

An awesome excursion for the whole family consisting of hiking, zip-lining and gorgeous views for only $15! The staff was professional, safety-conscience and very friendly. Our family of six went with two guides that helped both the kids (9-15yrs) and old-timers (40+) perform the "Flying Butterfly" (upside down) and "Superman" moves. An amazing day all around!

“Great experience - an absolute blast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

$15 for a good hours worth of ziplining fun cannot be beat. This was an absolute blast. We were in a group of three with two guides so the value really couldn't have been better. Make sure you do the Mariposa and Superman moves when they give you the chance. Exhilerating. And make sure you actually relax doing the Mariposa. Being tense won't make you safer! To get there you can take taxi/truck from town for too much money. It was a long walk, and up hill, but if you're in shape it's definitely do-able, though tiring. Really great experience. Guides gave good safety information at the beginning, and when we didn't understand it in Spanish, they gave it again in English.
